I would always recommend a pre-wedding shoot to get comfortable with your photographer. My pre-wedding shoots are free & at them we can chat about the day itself, so everything runs smoothly.

Prepare a list of all formal photographs that wish with guest names in advance of the wedding. Share with the photographer and then this part of the day can be done quickly and efficiently.

Choose a ring that you love today and will still love in years to come - you're going to be wearing it for a long time!

Try on different styles and shapes so you know which was is perfect on your special day!

Make sure that your DJ will play the songs you want and not just say they will, but also remember to make sure that you let your DJ know of any songs you don't want playing.

If you are not sure of anything please ask, will be happy to help.

Does your photographer have insurance? Hopefully they have professional indemnity insurance, if in doubt ask to see their certificate, as this insurance is your only real way to have peace of mind.

Enjoy every second of the planning process, your day will go by so quickly so make the most of every aspect.

How important is the background? "Great people make great photographs, and a great background isn't essential but its well worth thinking about what you're giving your photographer to work with"

Break your shoes in! If your shoes aren't comfortable (when is fashion ever!?), then break the shoes in before hand. Alternatively, if your dress is long consider bringing a change of shoes for later.

Guests love a fun diversion - perhaps a round or two of classic garden games or a special on-the-day challenge. Our favourite was a village fete theme! Be sure to choose a venue with space & gardens.

Try on your wedding ring about a month before your wedding, in case there needs to be any adjustments to the size. You don't want to get to the alter and discover they don't fit.

Always make sure that your photographer is someone you can feel comfortable with, as being relaxed helps create beautiful natural images. I offer a free no obligation consultation before any bookings

Remember bridesmaids gifts such as pearl bracelets or pendants to match your colour scheme

Start a wedding diary to keep all your idea's.

Have a make up trial before your wedding so you know how you'll look on the day

Having the perfect skin will help the makeup look flawless. Keep hydrated, have regular facials and if there are any problems such as eczema or oily skin discuss with the professional in your trial.

Make sure you have a written contract with all the details contained for your day with timings, address etc.

What's the best advice you'd give to any couple getting married? "Do not scrimp on your photography budget. The photos are the lasting memories of the day, and so many couples are left disappointed

Relax & Enjoy! Your day will pass by quickly, so be sure to enjoy every moment!
