And the Winner of the 2025 Dream Wedding Is… Evie Edwards!

One lucky UKbride member’s wedding dreams came true when we called her on Valentine’s Day 2025 to announce that she had won our incredible Dream Wedding competition, worth up to £25,000!

Excitement at UKbride Headquarters

Excitement filled the UKbride Headquarters once again, as it does every year on Valentine’s Day, as the team prepared to call our latest winner and share the life-changing news. Our Prize Draw Host, Aisha, dialled the number and anticipation grew with each ring. Finally, we were relieved to hear a tentative “Evie’s ‘phone…” from our winner Evie Edwards, who is from Wolverhampton. The moment we told her she had won was pure magic, with delight and disbelief echoing in her voice.

A Shock and a Delight

Evie, who is engaged to James, was over the moon when UKbride’s Aisha called with the surprise announcement. “It was just so surreal,” Evie recalled, clearly still in shock. “I got engaged in September, and you know what it's like—you start applying for things, entering competitions, but it never seems to be us. So, when I found out we actually won, it was just amazing!”

A Holiday Proposal

Evie and James’s love story reached a wonderful milestone when James proposed during a holiday getaway—something Evie describes as a complete surprise. Though Evie and James had been discussing marriage for a while, James planned every detail of the proposal. On their anniversary, James took Evie to a beautiful restaurant by a waterfall where he proposed. James arranged for the waiter to play music and video the proposal because he knew how important it was for Evie to capture this unforgettable moment.

Wedding Plans for 2026

Evie and James are now looking forward to tying the knot on 30th August 2026, and they’ve already made an exciting start on the planning front—especially when it comes to their dream venue! Evie found Castle Bromwich Hall through UKbride’s extensive listings. “We just fell in love with how beautiful it was, it’s very old-fashioned, very English, and it just felt right for us” she told us.

Looking Ahead

Evie will be attending the National Wedding Show at the NEC in March, where she’s excited to meet Aisha in person—her very own bearer of incredible news! Although Evie initially planned to attend for budgeting ideas, she’s now thrilled that she no longer needs to worry and can just soak up the inspiration and atmosphere of the show. Evie told us “I’m most excited for the catwalk!”
