Start to think about your colour theme for your wedding before choosing your flowers , ie bridesmaid dresses.

You can add a splash of colour to the flowerwall to suit your colour scheme.

If you want tall table centrepieces such as Candelabra or Martini glasses - to save on costs - do half tables tall and half low. This gives the same wow on entering the room.

Who has buttonholes and corsages? - The wedding party - so Groom, best men and ushers, Fathers and Mothers. Sometimes people also include Nans and Grandads and other immediate family members.

The best time to contact your florist is after you have chosen your wedding dress and chosen your bridesmaid colours as that is when your theme is starting to be built

Be aware of those expensive times of the year - Valentines Day, Mothers Day and especially Christmas. Wholesalers are mostly closed between Christmas and New Year

When trying on your dress try to visualize what style of bouquet would look perfect for you handtied style, shower bouquet or sheaf style.

If you have an arrangement on your Registrar's table it can be reused later as a Top table decoration !

Lots of Brides make their "Confetti Moment" photo their Profile Picture as it captures such a happy moment, make sure yours is a good one!

Only work with someone you feel comfortable with and gets you! It's such an important, once in a lifetime day.

Book your florist at least one year in advance! Don't worry if you haven't decided on everything you need - have a 2nd meeting a few months before your wedding to tie everything up

Check with your wedding venue if you are allowed confetti. If so, it is likely only biodegradable confetti is permitted.
