Make your day unique. It will be much more memorable and special.

If you intend to have an outdoor service, then always check that your officiant has a back-up plan in case the weather might change at any time.

Above all else remember this: "Those Who Mind Don’t Matter, and Those Who Matter Don’t Mind". Dr Seuss.

Have a laugh, have fun, enjoy your day. It doesnt all have to be serious.

Be true to yourself - it's your day and should be just the way you want it.

Find the right Celebrant. It's important you have a rapport and feel confident in them

Preparation is key. Get a folder or spreadsheet to keep the many lists you will have.

Always look at at least 3 venues before you make a decision

Think about including the guests. There are some lovely touches which help guests feel very much part of the marriage.

Be organised - don't leave everything until the last minute

Delegate, delegate, delegate! You don't have to do everything yourself.

Decide what core values are really important to you, as individuals and jointly as a couple. What are your top 3 values? This is the basis of your vows. This will anchor you in your marriage.

Ensure you really gel with your Celebrant - ask yourself are they on same wave-length?

Research who you are booking and check your terms and conditions thoroughly! Do not get caught out by anyone.

Have a personalised ceremony - it will be unlike any you have been to before.

Have what you want. You only do this once.
