Book early: To nab your first choice of venue/supplier (and to lock in lower prices or discounts), earlier is better. Try for 18 months in advance where possible
Consider power: To run your lights, music, etc you will need to make sure you have enough power. Extension leads may be enough if you are close to the mains, but most clients require a generator
