If you have a lot of bridesmaids you may want to consider a limousine, but remember they seat 8 plus driver… so if you have 9 bridesmaids, you’ll be a little stuck !

Wedding cakes aren’t cheap. Do some research and set yourself a reasonable budget to get the wedding cake you feel happy with.

Give yourself time to plan and save! By giving yourself the time you can budget easier, save longer, and book way in advance!

Pick the traditions or customs that you like and ditch the ones you don't.

Have music that is meaningful to you both

Focus on each other. The Bride & Groom are the two most important people on their wedding day and so by focusing on each other you will not only be in the moment but will create some stunning memories

Look for a private function room with amenities such as a private bar and restrooms. The Birds Pub's function room is located on the first floor and offers privacy and space for your guests.

Ask your side of the family to sit on the opposite side of you at the ceremony venue. This way they have a better view of you (particularly the front row).

A photographer should issue a contract or agreement as well as an invoice for anything you have paid for. A contract or agreement should include the full terms and conditions of the service.

Plan everything to the last detail leaving you free to enjoy your special day.

Don't do things just for the 'gram'. Let the day happen naturally and don't try and force too many moments

Let go of perfection. Embrace the imperfections and quirks of the day. Some of the best wedding photos are the ones that capture the unexpected moments.

Trust your photographer. You've hired them for their expertise, so let them do what they do best. Don't worry about posing or directing the shots; instead, focus on enjoying your day and trust them.

Don’t worry! So much planning goes into a wedding (I know, I remember mine!!) but regardless of any last minute changes it will still be an amazing day

Choose a Celebrant Ceremony, I promise you won't regret it!

Make sure that you have all the information you need to consider the pros and cons of treatment and make the right decision for you

Wear clothes that you feel comfortable in. Seems a daft thing to say but there's nothing worse than photographing couples who just don't feel themselves

Spend some time at your preferred venues before committing to them. If they have other events or open days you can attend, then take the opportunity to see the team and the venue in action.

Plan ahead. Popular dates will book up fast.

Set a budget you're comfortable with and stick to it. Weddings can easily get out of hand but there are ways to work to all budgets.
