Aim to book your musicians around a year in advance, when there is still plenty of availability.

Have an open mind about what type of musician to book – the traditional harpist or string quartet are still wonderful but there are also many other options out there!

Always make sure you get a proper contract from all your suppliers and check the detail before signing it. Using a reputable agency is a good way to make sure this is done properly.

String Quartet for Summer Wedding in London
We hired a string quartet for our wedding through Tailor Made Music Agency, and we're really glad we did. Rosie was really easy to deal with, and delivered exactly what we wanted at a great price. The musicians themselves were really professional - they were clearly very experienced, great players, easy to contact in the run-up to the big day, turned up on time, played really well and created a lovely atmosphere. Their repertoire list was extensive, and they went out of the way to learn a couple of special extra pieces of music for us.
