The Real Wedding of Sam & Samantha

Sam & Samantha's Wedding Story

The Groom from this couple is a former colleague of mine from the Royal Academy of Music, so he definitely knows his music! It was my first ever booking since going solo, so I felt the pressure to get it right.

Sam and Samantha knew they wanted a string quartet for their ceremony, and had a few ideas of songs they wanted. I presented them with two excellent quartets to choose from. After studying the artists' repertoire lists, the couple chose the quartet who could play lots of the songs they wanted to hear on their wedding day. They chose a real eclectic mix of tunes, from jazz standards 'Fly Me to the Moon' and 'At Last' to Disney favourites 'Let it Go' and 'The Bare Necessities'. During the signing of the register they had Adele, Sigur Ross and Leonard Cohen. The highlight was Samantha's entrance, which was accompanied by the beautiful 'Stand By Me' by Ben E King. The end of the ceremony got everyone in the mood to party with Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk.

This venue was stunning, with an indoor/outdoor feel under a high glass ceiling. Is was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for celebrating with friends and family. The music added to that fun atmosphere the couple wanted to create, helping them make memories of a really special day.
