The Upper House is privately owned and steeped in history. Set amongst acres of glorious gardens and woodland, providing endless photographic opportunities. We understand that this will be one of the most important decisions of your lives.
Our policy of one wedding per day will guarantee that all of our attention will be focussed on you and your guests having a magnificent day. You are responsible for contacting the Registrar directly to find out all the relevant information.
Stay in one of our 24 individually styled and decorated en-suite rooms. Our friendly staff will give you a warm welcome and go out of their way to accommodate your needs, setting out to make you feel at home.
Our team gain complete satisfaction from making sure that your day runs smoothly from your first enquiry to the last dance, we will ensure that no detail is left to chance. We pride ourselves on our personal touch.
We are able to cater for Weddings up to 100 guests during the day time and 150 guests during the evening. We have 2 function rooms, which are both included in your venue hire to choose from.

Sam has worked at the Upper House for 8 years and has a vast amount of experience when dealing with Weddings. She loves to meet new people and get to know every couple, and what special things they have planned for their big day. From the first initial enquiry to the actual Wedding day, Sam and her team will be there to help you at every point - and make sure that you have the most memorable day.

Classic and Beautiful
The Upper House hotel is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The grounds are where my fiancé and I walk our dog most weekends so it’s perfect for our big day.

We have had to move our wedding due to covid as have many other couples but The upper House managed to offer us a new date and have moved all our plans to that date. We have also reserved all the rooms for our guest who will hopefully be travelling from all over the uk and done from abroad x
