We are a family run business since 1964. We specialise in weddings and parties. The stunning Location, Ballroom and our attention to detail make the perfect setting for your dream wedding.

As a family run business since 1964 we specialise in wedding and parties. Anthony Baker (owner) brought a derelict farm in 1964 and turned it into a truck stop café. Business was good until the 70's when the M62 opened and literally cut the trade in half overnight.
From then Anthony decided to open a bar, restaurant and motel. He hasn't looked back since. The family have all worked tirelessly to make the Saddleworth Hotel what it is today. With still the same family members working there, and a couple of generations to add to the mix.
We aim to make your day the best day of your lives. From being picked up in the hotels luxury Rolls Royce Phantom convertible, you immediately feels like a princess.
Getting married indoors or outdoors with 15 minutes notice weather permitting, we strive to deliver the day you desire. Cocktails and drinks flowing from inside to the outside patio areas with breath taking scenery of the Castleshaw valleys. You are your guests will feel a million miles away from anywhere and relax.
The opulent Ballroom with 19th century oak panelling will create a truly amazing setting for your wedding breakfast. Our freshly prepared food and quality will not let you or your guest down.
Dance the night away in style with the hotels light show, smoke machines and lasers. Our resident DJ will ensure all your guests leave wanting more and talk about your day for a long time to come.

Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead to pick up the Bride
Ceremony here at the hotel, inside or outside in the sand stone gazebo
Or Car to pick up the Bride and Escort, then return to The Saddleworth Hotel with Bride and Groom after the church ceremony
Cocktails, Bottled Beer and soft drinks for your guests after the ceremony for a duration of 30 minutes
4 course meal inc coffee and chocolates
Glass of Red or White wine with Starter and Mains
Water Carafes for dining tables

DJ in the evening from 9pm until 1am

All the little things that make your life easier are included. These items don't normally crop up until after you have booked your venue. That's when the cost can spiral. We want you to know exactly what your day will cost with us from the day you first come to view the venue. No hidden extras.
We have 18 newly renovated bedrooms for you and your guests. From classic doubles to grand suites you and your guests will not be disappointed. All uniquely designed with little quirks in each room.
We would love to show you around and share our ideas and thoughts with you. We are here 24/7 when you need us. Always on hand to reassure and help.

Trusting a venue with your special day is difficult to do. We have been planning weddings along side brides and grooms for over 40 years. Our knowledge and experience will be passed onto you to make sure your day is the best day of your life.

Top Wedding Tips

Remember to book the registrars when getting married at the venue at the earliest opportunity. You can book a registrar 2 years in advance for your perfect time and venue.

Guests feel more relaxed after the wedding breakfast and a little more tipsy. This is a great time for speeches. More fun and laughter after a full stomach and a couple of glasses of wine :)

You can't please all your guests all the time. On the run up to your wedding, make sure its you and your partner that you are trying to please. Its your day.
