The Grain Loft is a beautifully restored building that has maintained its history and charm. With over 400 years of history and once owned by the infamous landowner Wild Edric, this bespoke property is a unique and intimate venue that you and your guests can enjoy exclusively.
At this registered venue you can marry in the upper quarter of the barn with guests seated amongst the original oak wooden beams, adorned with flowers, fairy lights or candles to create a magical and intimate experience. The dining area can be made as rustic or refined as you like while you feast with family and friends on locally sourced, quality food. We provide long rustic and stylish trestle style tables and the option of white covered banquet chairs or chiavari chairs. Other options are available.
We provide the option of having your honeymoon suit in the same room that you early said your vows. We will magically transform the room into a cosy, romantic honeymoon suite in time for the evening. .
As part of the experience of getting married at The Grain Loft you have exclusive use of Llanhedric House, a spacious and elegant country home which shares the same court yard.
Llanhedric House is an idyllic country home set within the Shropshire Hills. With seven elegant bedrooms you will be able to accommodate your closest family and friends so that everyone can relax into your wedding without having to travel or rush off. This spectacular 17th Century house is the perfect venue for you to relax and enjoy your time with us. It has a feeling of space and grandeur, yet manages to maintain a homely and welcoming ambience.
The house and gardens are south facing with uninterrupted views that stretch across the fields over the Clun Valley and overlook Clun Castle ruins. The extensive gardens will impress your guests and are yours to welcome your guests with drinks and canapés on the lawn.
If you have children in your party, they will love the endless options of things to do from playing on the pool or table tennis table to enjoying the garden games and children's play area.
Located in the midst of the rolling Shropshire hills and surrounded by beautiful countryside you have the most perfect setting for your wedding photographs and for memories that will last a lifetime.

I was fortunate enough to spend my childhood at Llanhedric Farm. Having moved away to university and work, myself and my husband made the decision to move back to the area with our two small children. In 2011 we changed the use of Llanhedric House into a large group holiday let as we knew it would make a great house for families and friends to get together. In 2016 we decided to extend what we could offer to allow our guests to marry in this beautiful setting. Together with my husband Mark and dad Hugh we set about converting the disused farm barn that sat next to Llanhedric House into a beautiful multi functional venue that could cater for wedding and retreats. We were keen to retain its history and were sure to keep the original beams and stone walls and make use of original farm features that would have been used over the years, such as the butter churn and wagon wheels. We're delighted that this stunning old building has been transformed into a warm and inviting venue filled with history and charm. We only hold a small number of weddings so that we can fully focus on the couples that we host and ensure we can be as flexible as possible to make the day unique and special for you.
