Opening in 2022, Stockton House is a new exclusive wedding venue. Nestled in 8,500 acres of Shropshire countryside on the Apley Estate.
Steeped in history Stockton House is an 18th century grade II* listed building with a stylish Georgian design. Stockton is being brought back to life with seven luxurious en-suite double bedrooms and a one hundred seater secret walled garden dining room. All expertly designed to take in the breathtaking views and scenery of Shropshire's countryside.
The house is all yours, and you can make all the decisions. With a civil ceremony licence in our unique one hundred seater secret walled garden dining room, any of the luxurious rooms on the ground floor, or our incredible Victorian turning house on the lawn. What’s more, you could also have your ceremony at the historic St Chad’s church just one hundred yards down the lane.
You can stay at Stockton House for as long as you like. Whether you decide to celebrate for a weekend or a week (longer if you wish!) it's completely your choice. At a minimum you can arrive the day before your wedding day to set everything up, stay the night of your wedding day and enjoy breakfast or brunch with us the next day. One things for sure, however long you stay you won't want to leave.
If you're a foodie couple, you'll love Stockton House. We’re part of the multi-award winning Hospitality Group Caviar & Chips and so food and drink plays a big part in the experience at Stockton House. We love to start with a blank piece of paper and create your very own unique wedding menu. You get the chance to work with the team of chefs to create your own bespoke wedding menu.

Everything I had worried about melted away when we saw our guests enjoying the beautiful house and surroundings. Not one guest had a negative word to say. In the days after our wedding everyone has commented how truly wonderful, accommodating and friendly all the staff were. Including some of our external vendors!
My favourite thing may have been walking through the house to see that one the servers pouring my two young cousins tea and putting on posh voices, indulging them totally as 'big girls'
I have been a pretty big pain I'm sure mostly everyone will agree, with weird demands that I think everyone was probably sick of by the time we got to the day, but Amy & Marc agreed to everything I asked and wanted with the word no being totally off limits.
We had the most amazing day and I hate that it's all over, but I love that I now have the amazing memories of a perfect day.
To everyone at Stockton, but mainly to Amy, thank you for putting up with me and making my day EVERYTHING I ever wanted. I hope you know we will 100% be back whenever you have open days.
