We weren't disappointed! We were very keen on having a wedding where our guests were comfortable, well-fed and well-watered. The quality of the food on offer was really important to us. The wedding breakfast was amazing - the standard of food was fantastic and we received so many compliments about how delicious it was and plentiful it was. Hannah was amazing in the run up to the wedding - she was incredibly helpful and always on hand to answer the many questions we had. On the day, Alec and the team were amazing. As our MC, Alec looked after us and our guests incredibly well - he was on top of every detail and made sure the day and evening ran smoothly; even suggesting tweaks to the running order that worked well. We'd have no hesitation in recommending Shaw Hill to other couples looking to have a wonderful day.
Hannah and Alec, what can I say! They genuinely really care about making your day special and went above and beyond all day (and night). Even down to the finer details of dealing with a very nervous, then giddy bride! The food was amazing, we had so many people comment on the day and since. I think about 90% of our entertainment was recommend to us by Hannah and it was all amazing. Shaw Hill work with some great suppliers as part of their packages; the venue was dressed beautifully and our table seating plan was perfect. Alec ran the day to perfection and went above and beyond to ensure our day was exactly as we wanted. The professionalism and discretion the entire team used to deal with an emergency situation was amazing and we couldn’t be more grateful. The food was perfect and we got so many compliments, everyone was well catered for, even down to the completely individual meal the bride requested! Nothing was too big of an ask and the team genuinely want you to have the best day. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect venue and team to host our dream day. Hannah, our wedding coordinator, Alec, our master of ceremonies and all the team at Shawhill were absolutely incredible throughout the planning process and on the big day itself.
It was the wedding of our dreams and we had the best day of our lives.
All of our guests loved the venue which has produced some stunning backdrops for our photos; unreal, delicious food ;and top quality service from staff. From the level of care and support early on in the planning process after we were let down by our last venue, we couldn’t fault Hannah, Alec and the team. Every little detail was how we imagined and staff went above and beyond for all our guests to enjoy the day (especially accommodating our grandparents).
We can’t recommend you all enough!
