There are so many beautiful venues out there in amazing settings with beautiful views. But it’s getting harder to find some place where you can truly make your wedding unique. Here at Pentre Mawr the sky’s the limit. It certainly felt like that when we took a spin on the Ferris wheel which one of our brides brought in last year. When she asked us if she could have a fairground, we just thought why not!! So if you think we’re a little mad well, you just might be right.
We love to say yes to our couples no matter how daft the idea. there’s no limit to what you can do here. Well almost no limit, it must legal and we must be physically able to do it!!!
Whatever you do in this world there always seems to be a list of don’ts so we’re breaking all the rules! If it’s your dream to get married in a beautiful walled garden, you can. If a rustic barn is your thing, no problem. Go completely bonkers, how about a genuine African Safari Lodge? If vintage is more you, the elegant manor house provides the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. Want to have a completely outdoor wedding in the beautiful Welsh sunshine (of course we get lovely sunny days here and sometimes a little soft Welsh rain) our new wedding pagoda with lovely views towards the wonderful Vale of Clwyd is just thing.
We’re really aware that the cost of your big day can get out of control with all the usual add-ons. So we charge one fee and give you total freedom. We sit in 6 acres of gardens; our stable yard has a fire pit for the evenings and our Secret Walled Garden is ideal for your wedding ceremony. We have two marquees and two super barns to make sure that you have cover on the occasional days it rains in Wales!
You can bring your own caterer or we can recommend one of our preferred partners. We’ve got a fantastic Pinterest room with loads of lovely goodies you can use to decorate your marquee. From buntings to bird cages, candelabras to huge martini glasses, lanterns and anything else you can imagine.
We’ve got photo wall, so there’s no need to book a photo booth and a fantastic candy cart that you can fill with your favourite sweeties. And the daftest thing of all... a doughnut wall! Our latest purchases are huge LOVE letters and a 5 foot heart so there’s no need to order any of the extras as these are all here for you to use.

If you are looking for the perfect wedding venue then honestly look no further.
There are multiple things that really appealed to us about the venue and I will try to explain these a little bit below:
- Its absolutely beautiful! Set in the Welsh hills, its surrounded by stunning countryside and before the party starts all you can hear is birdsong.
- We were given absolute freedom to make the day our own, and have anything that was important to us. For us, it was really important that our dogs could come with us for the weekend, and they were even able to come down the aisle (thank goodness they behaved!) We also had total freedom to choose any supplier we desired with no extra cost. This allows you to make sure everything is just how you want.
- We booked our wedding in the height of covid but I have to say, we always felt extremely secure that the wonderful team of Bre and Graham would look after us and guide us through whatever the world chose to throw at us.
- The full wedding weekend allows your nearest and dearest to come and settle in on the Friday night. This really means on the Saturday that you can relax and enjoy the day, safe in the knowledge everyone is rested from travelling and are ready for the fun to really start.
Really and truly we had the best day of our lives and can't thank these amazing people enough for their part in it.
Bre and Graham are such wedding people and it makes such a difference to the planning of wedding and the day.
Abbie and nina are just perfect un every way from planning to the day after the wedding. Honestly even to the finest of details.. perfect. Every member of staff we meet while there were so polite and kind. Each person took the time to talk to u and ask us how we were and how it went on with the day.
To put it simply... don't bother looking any where else for you wedding. Just book here!
The grounds are to die for, every where you look there is an amazing view, we had so many comments on the amazing views and amazing venue.
The accommodation for our family and friends was brilliant, it was great to have the closest friends and family in one place. We all loved where we stayed. And I particularly loved the bridal walled garden the morning on the wedding. Watching people going taking there seats from thw bathroom window without being seen was fantastic!!
Bre and Graham thank you so much for having us and sorting out the line up! You guys make this venue so very special and we will certainly be staying again in the future.

The whole weekend was brilliant from start to finish!
We got married here at the end of June and so glad we picked this place.
All the staff are very helpful running up to the day and extremely helpful on the day.
The bonus Friday evening meal really makes the weekend special and also helped us relax before the big day (The food on the Friday was amazing too!)
The team helped ensure everything ran smoothly on the day and we felt very looked after.
We got so many positive compliments on our day for the the venue and staff.
The set up of being able to choose your own vendors also massively helps you to create a unique day of your own.
We'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to get married!
The wedding party were treated to a full breakfast in the Hayloft dining room and the Bridal party were served in the Bridal cottage in between getting ready.
We decided to have our closest friend do the ceremony for us, having done the "legal" bit a few weeks earlier in Liverpool. I would highly recommend any couple to do this, our ceremony was absolutely perfect and personal to us. We managed to have a beautiful ceremony outside overlooking the Welsh countryside, we were unbelievably lucky with the weather!
We then partied the day and night away before ending up in a heap in our safari lodge. We were then treated to an additional night which was really nice to unwind after the day and open cards/presents.
The whole day was perfect from start to finish and we cant thank the whole team at Pentre Mawr enough for making our day so special. They really make an effort with the small touches to the day and there were a few surprises along the way!
