Well there’s only one kind of wedding cake you can choose in this location and that is of course Kendal Mint Cake! Kendal is a beautiful town just to the south of the Lake District in Cumbria. It’s just eight miles from Windermere and 19 miles north of Lancaster.


It’s the third largest settlement in Cumbria, known largely for its popularity with tourists. There’s so much to explore here from Kendal Castle to the Museum of Lakeland Life and Industry. There are plenty of other museums to explore in this town too including the Quaker Tapestry Museum.


For wedding venues, you are spoilt for choice in this lovely spot. From old crumbling rustic wedding barns with exposed beams and high ceilings to grand country houses usually with views over nearby lakes and reservoirs. The location alone should sell any wedding venue in Kendal, it really is beautiful.
