We’re delighted at Circa Events to announce the opening of our newest venue, Gote Barn, located just outside Lewes in Sussex. Nestled away in the heart of the East Sussex countryside, it would make a truly idyllic venue to host your wedding day.

Gote Farm, owned and run by the Craig family for over 75 years, specialises in unpasteurized milk from their herd of Friesians and excellent, naturally-reared, lamb both grazed on the meadows near Glynde, at the foot of the Downs.

The Grade II Listed barn itself, with high vaulted ceilings has been around since around the 1600’s with many of the barns original features still intact. Situated right in the heart of the Downs in the beautiful Sussex countryside, part of the Glynebourne Estate, Gote Barn is 5 minutes from the center of Lewes and 20 minutes drive from Brighton.

Perfect for a beautiful countryside wedding, with the barns rustic and original charm as the background for your big day, the venue has a capacity for up to 180 seated guests for the day and up to 250 in the evening. With a lawn for drinks & canapes, and even fire pits to keep you warm in the evening, the barn is perfect if you are looking for a venue to personalise and bring to life once again!

Venue Hire includes 6ft Round tables & Chivari chairs, brand new toilet building, wooden bar, raised stage, car parking facilities, dancefloor, outdoor drinks reception space ( and capri marquee if weather inclement), and fairy lights decoration.

This venue is really special and as its newly opened as a wedding venue, you’ll have exclusive hire and the chance to hold your wedding reception and breakfast at a really unique and charming venue none of your guests would have been to before!

You will be able to design your own wedding breakfast with the assistance of our critically acclaimed Executive Chef, Justin Gilham. From formal Four-course meals, to sharing platters, BBQs & hog roasts, there are an impressive variety of potential dishes plus the opportunity to experience some of Circa’s quirky evening food options such as The Circa Pizza Van, Circa Street Food Van, Bert & Ernie Street Food Karts, Bev the Gelato Bike and the Brighton Burger Company Van as well as a range of more traditional options.
