Really disappointing attitude towards bride and groom on their wedding day
Its a real shame to leave this review as on the whole the staff and venue cannot be knocked, however when senior management (we were informed he was the owner at the time) goes out of his way to make the bride cry on her wedding day over something which they were not directly responsible for and which, by all accounts, should have been picked up through a quiet word rather than such an aggressive approach, I don't think people should be giving their hard earned money or dedicating their special day and trusting them to do a good job. There are better businesses locally who would have had more tact over issues which the venue had with guests drinking in their own rooms. When you consider the amount of money spent on weddings, the fact they actually enforced the fine and informed them of that in the middle of their wedding day is shocking. Fair enough, have a quiet word to the side and ask them to speak to their guests but there was plenty of money spent behind the bar and for the venue and the food despite the owner feeling aggrieved by a few tins in rooms...Everyone I have told this story to have been appalled by the "owner's" attitude. I have told all my friends looking to book a venue locally not to bother with this venue so am simply repeating on this forum.
