Matthew and I have always lived in North Norfolk so we wanted to get married locally. We chose Caley Hall for its peaceful location near the beach, unique layout and relaxed friendly atmosphere. After looking around the hotel we liked the country, rustic décor and knew that’s what we wanted for our wedding theme.

After the ceremony, which was at a local church, we enjoyed arrival drinks in the lounge. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere with the fire roaring, and all our family and friends together. Our three course wedding breakfast was excellent. The food was delicious and the service was brilliant. All the staff were so attentive and helpful and really helped to make our day feel extra special.

The wedding planner Danielle was fantastic, she was on hand throughout our planning journey and on the wedding day, we really couldn't have asked for more from the staff and venue!

We booked an initial viewing with Danielle and immediately knew this was our venue. It ticked all our boxes: Exclusive use for the wedding day and morning after. Everything in one place – no moving between venues. Characterful bedrooms for all our guests, at various sizes and price. Multiple zones for evening entertainment depending on guest’s preference. Accommodation for the whole weekend for those who wanted it – which ended up being 21 of us. Great location. Beautiful style and décor. An open and clear pricing structure – no hidden surprises. Delicious and varied food options. Useful local vendor list, but no pressure to use their recommendations. We pencilled in a date there and then, firming it up just a week later.

From start to finish Danielle was brilliant. She was patient and professional with all our requests, no matter how random. Having one venue and one coordinator worked exceptionally well and should not be underestimated. Any external vendors we did get in (Photo Booth, Band, Doughnut deliveries) were taken care of on the day by Danielle and the team. There was not a single thing we had to be consulted on during the day, everything went according to plan, without a flicker of drama. Our guests remarked that all the staff were friendly and welcoming, and helped make the weekend successful.

This was a very cost effective wedding for 2023 – but the look, feel and quality would have you thinking it cost so much more. It was incredibly special to have the exclusive use of a hotel where everybody could make a proper night of it and not worry about arranging taxis home or finding accommodation. The main day carries over to the next morning which was a bonus. Everyone was able to have their own spaces during the day if needed (useful for our 12 day old niece!) and everything everyone needed was within reach. Staying the night before the wedding meant the morning of was stress free, as Danielle and the staff handled absolutely everything, taking it all in their stride.

Caley Hall is a truly great venue, and made our long awaited wedding day absolutely perfect.

We turned up at the hotel during covid amd were shown around a small part of the hotel. We instantly knew this was the place for us, for our special day. With such a lovely interior,amazing grounds and exterior, super friendly staff and incredible food, we had instantly made our decision.
From start to finish of our 3 years of planning Danielle has been amazing. Always at the other end of the phone/ email and happy for a meeting if ever we wanted. Any communication with vendors was dealt with by Danielle once confirmed and also any guest queries. Everything was sorted by staff the evening before and throughout the day of the wedding, including filling up our crisp wall and working with our DIY pieces too. Our wedding day was faultless, everything ran smoothly and the staff were super helpful making sure all the small details were complete and perfect. This made for the perfect wedding, we couldn’t have asked for more. Danielle was on hand 100% of the time and really helped to keep us at ease and stress free throughout. The exclusive hire is a lovely touch, meaning we were able to hire a hot donut van for in the car park and all enjoy breakfast the next morning as a large group too. A lovely extra added touch. Every single one of our guests commented on how stunning the venue was and how lovely and friendly all of the staff were. A beautiful venue that made THE PERFECT wedding day.

Well, what can I say, a once in a lifetime day made perfect by the Caley Hall staff. Firstly, at the start of our journey to exploring wedding venues around Norfolk as soon as we walked into Caley Hall we felt at ease and the staff were so welcoming which we hadn’t really experienced at other venues. We sat down with Danielle who explained how it worked and the vision of the day, and that was our decision made, we knew this was the perfect venue for our big day. Fast forward 12-14 months or so, and the constant support of Danielle and her team throughout the planning process and our big day had arrived. We were both nervous, but the staff soon put us at ease. One doubt I had was how it was going to be laid out and flow throughout the day, but all I have to say is you don’t need to worry about that, the staff certainly know what they are doing and make it look incredible. The days flow flawlessly and you can just enjoy the whole day knowing the staff have got everything sorted. We could not have wished for a better day thanks to Danielle and the team at the Caley Hall.

We had our wedding at Caley Hall Hotel, Old Hunstanton in late June 2023 and we cannot recommend the hotel and staff highly enough. Dani, the wedding planner, was excellent throughout. She is completely unflappable and nothing was too much trouble for her in all the planning. She was always available for us to ring, email or visit to discuss the arrangements.She was really helpful with suggestions and ideas for us too. The quality of the facilities, rooms, food and service is fantastic. We and our close family stayed three nights, with the Friday wedding day / night being exclusively for us and our party, with most guests staying at the Hotel. All who stayed were very pleased with their rooms and food etc. The team at the hotel were so friendly and helpful, they transformed the function room dramatically from breakfast room to ceremony hall, to wedding breakfast / dining room, complete with all table decorations etc, to dance floor / disco and then back to breakfast room for the next morning with efficiency and minimum of fuss and completely unobtrusively. The food throughout was first class, full English breakfast, then canapés, followed by (choice of four) 3 course meals for us and our 50 odd guests and then evening snacks of pork rolls and wedges were lovely and many of our guests commented on the quality of the food and preparation, also clearly using top quality ingredients. As I say, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were attentive and efficient throughout our stay. As a wedding venue, with everything all in one place, exclusivity, quality rooms, excellent food, lovely staff and with a location close to the beach and the coastal path, (ideal for photos and also for guests to go for a walk the next day) this hotel really has it all. We are so glad we chose this and we will be back to stay again. We can’t thank Dani and the team enough for making our special day so enjoyable and for making sure it ran so smoothly, and as I say we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue for a wedding and also for a holiday.

Caley Hall is one of those naturally warm and inviting places. Beautifully decorated with a high class, even the staff know you, country pub kind of feel whilst retaining the elegance and professionalism of a super slick fancy hotel. The rooms are eclectic, unique and spotlessly clean. The beds are HUGE and the linen/towels/extras high quality. If you have your dog with you even they get the royal treatment with biscuits and towels. Nothing was too much trouble for Dani the wedding co ordinator at Caley Hall which can be said for all the staff. They were amazing. Friendly and professional. Dani knew exactly what to ask me as the bride to draw out what she needed for the staff to make the day go smoothly. I really cannot sing everyone’s but especially Dani’s praises high enough. The food was absolutely divine with a number of my guests complimenting the menu choices to the presentation as much as the flavours. Again nothing was too much trouble with all dietary requirements catered for without a single glitch. Every single one of our 80+ guests came away buzzing and in awe. If you are looking for somewhere unpretentious, classy and with enough room for everyone to eat drink be merry and totter off to their room sated and elated then Caley Hall is that unassuming gem hidden away. Worth every penny 🧡

Our wedding day at Caley Hall absolutely exceeded our expectations in every way. All of the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble on the day and our fantastic wedding coordinator, Danielle, was always on hand for anything we needed in the run up to the wedding. The hotel itself is an absolutely stunning venue in a beautiful part of Norfolk. As well as this we were spoilt with amazing food and drink including our guests with dietary requirements being taken care of, wonderful decor and atmosphere, stunning decoration exactly as I had described and all in all simply the best day we could have ever asked for. The sleeping accommodations is also absolutely stunning - fresh, excellent room facilities and sparkling clean. We have already booked to come back for our first anniversary and can’t wait. I would highly recommend Caley Hall to anyone who wants a perfect, intimate wedding. We are so pleased this is where we got to spend our special day.

It all started during a maths lesson in year 10. Jake was new to the school and eager to make a good impression; Kym thought Jake looked too small and was in the wrong class. Fast forward 10 years to 2012 and Jake made a surprise proposal in the very same classroom, in the school where Kym now worked.
Between 2013 and 2022 we did everything but get married. Raised children, moved house multiple times, and embarked upon a once in a lifetime house renovation project. Early in 2022 we finally decided it was about time.
We are from Peterborough, but Hunstanton is our go-to seaside town. We have found ourselves there several times every year, including the day Jake passed his driving test. After looking at some obvious local venues in our county, nothing seemed right for us. On a whim, we went onto Google maps and looked at venues close to Hunstanton. Caley Hall caught our eye.
