Aberglasney is a heritage garden of excellence set in the Tywi Valley in Camarthenshire. Our grade II listed mansion and award-winning gardens are the perfect setting for any grand occasion.

Once the home of Bishops, Poets and High Sheriffs, Aberglasney regrettably fell to neglect and ruin in the 19th century. It was made famous when its extraordinary rediscovery and restoration was featured in the BBC TV series 'A Garden Lost in Time'. Aberglasney's story captured the hearts and minds of the nation and since it's loving restoration, it has been named as one of Britain's top formal gardens by the Royal Horticultural Society. The Mansion and its Gardens have an irresistibly romantic sensibility and numinous quality in their extraordinarily beautiful setting and horticultural brilliance.

Our grade II listed Mansion offers a number of elegant adjoining rooms in which to be married, including the impressive main hall and our award winning sub-tropical indoor garden, the Ninfarium. For couples who have always dreamt of an outdoor wedding, we’re able to offer a number of beautiful garden locations in which to hold your ceremony including our unique Elizabethan Cloister Garden. These are also available for drinks receptions. With the exception of the Ninfarium, all of the Mansion’s ground floor rooms are available for drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts and evening parties. For larger receptions, we’re able to situate a marquee on one of our many well-kept lawns. We work with a wonderful external marquee provider who are able to offer luxury interiors that are fully heated with enough room for an inside champagne reception, dining, and dancing. You are welcome to source your own suppliers for your food and beverage requirements. We are happy to provide you with a list of highly recommended individuals/companies who have worked at Aberglasney on many occasions. We will provide you with a personal Event Manager who will support and assist you throughout your planning and will be present on the day of your wedding to ensure everything runs smoothly.
