Hey ladies and gents, I was wondering if you could help me with a little something....H2b doesn't want a wedding ring, he says that he finds them really uncomfortable to wear so if we did get him one then he wouldn't wear it anyways. I would like him to have something instead but I can't think of what. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. x

I like the watch idea! The only thing is that he is sooooo picky and has the most expensive taste ever. When we were looking at rings when he was still debating having one the only he could find that he likes was ten grand!!! Hopefully he can find a watch for under a grand. Lol x

H2B wont be able to wear one at work for safety reasons, we are contemplating having one for the ceremony but he is liking the idea of the date tattoo'd on his finger like a band. Probably not the answer you were looking for but an alternative all the same.
My grandmother used to say never buy your husband or wife a watch because they will be watching time. It must be an old wives tale or something I don't know but I've always taken the advice lol.
Does he really have to have something else instead? Some men don't wear any sort of wedding reminder at all but if I was choosing one I would plump for either a chain or perhaps cuff links if he wears a suit. If he can't wear any jewellery at work then there's not much else really.

This isn't for everyone but I went to a wedding a couple of years ago where the groom was a chap that worked with his hands so didn't wear jewellery etc. This was after seeing a colleague catch his wedding ring which then too his finger off! drastic I know but Instead he opted to have a tattoo of a ring on his finger! I thought it really strange at first but it was perfect for him x

The problem with tattooed rings is they can get burned, scarred, cut, etc later on. I have a tattoo really low down on the inside of my wrist and I'm always careful that I don't have it too near a cooking pot or whatever lol maybe its just me I don't know but once it gets marked it gets marked and that's it but its up to him if he thinks he would like it then do it.
Me I'd have no problem with my fiancé not wearing a ring as my dad never wore his and they are married almost 40 years, but I do know women who its really important to. I won't leave the house without mine even though I've never worn a ring for longer than 5 minutes and I'm not into jewellery at all. :-)

the boy is really excited about having a wedding ring, pretty sure he'd liked to have had an engagement ring hahaha
As a few others have suggested, Id say tattoo the date or your names or some pattern or other on his finger, id probably do it white or just off skin colour though rather than it being black or something, those colours do tend to fade over time, but it wont cost much to do again. i just dont really like the blacks on the hands, reminds me too much of the love/hate and random dots peopel tend to get there

tatty - he may change his mind. My hubby never used to wear rings at all. I bought him one a year after we got together and another when I proposed. He says now he feels naked without them.
I really did marry my Mr Wright and we had a nice day for a
Wright wedding!

Tori that's true but at least a real ring can get replaced. I've seen tattoos that are scarred and I don't think they can be fixed and a tattoo is more permanent than a ring that is able to be removed, and I hate to say this having one myself they "weather" a lot with age. Another factor to consider is the healing time. Her H2b works with his hands and how long is he planning on taking off for the wedding and honeymoon because it took my own tattoo about 6 weeks to heal. If parts of the scab comes off the tattoo needs to be done again.
