The point is, by the time your actual wedding day comes along, you've done all the hard work. You just want to relax, be yourself and enjoy it! Because apart from anything else, the day will pass by in the blink of an eye - and I speak from personal experience!

My documentary style of photography is very relaxed and naturalistic. I won't spend hours posing you and your guests when you'd all rather be enjoying a glass of fizz together and laughing until your sides ache. And those are the moments I will collect throughout your wedding day - the emotion, the fun, the happiness, the joy, the laughter, the love - all captured naturally, as they happen.

An engagement shoot is a great way to meet and work with your photographer before the wedding day. It can act as a 'dress rehearsal' for the main event, especially if you feel nervous about photos.

His eye for detail is wonderful
Ashley was great from our first meeting to the final email with our photo gallery. He put the effort in to understand what we wanted and even visited the venues before.

On the day he was really friendly and relaxed, and was flexible when our timings changed.

We walked around Oxford city centre taking photos in front of iconic buildings. As he had already planned the route we managed to get loads of pictures without spending too much time away from our families. After lunch we went punting and we have great pictures of our guests having fun thanks to Ashley's efforts running after us along the river.

His eye for detail is wonderful and we couldn't be happier with the photos.

We are absolutely in awe with our photos
Ashley made our wedding planning so much easier for us. He made such an effort to find out more about us and the preferred locations of photos, also did the research and suggested more great spots. He went to visit the locations a few weeks before the wedding, so he can prepare. He was a pleasure to have around on our wedding day, he was relaxed, calm, friendly and made us feel at ease when having our photo taken. At the same time, he led the day so well in knowing exactly what locations and poses were best. And we can say he did a tremendous job in capturing the most special moments on the day. The day goes so quickly and some moments go by in a flash but Ashley captured it all so beautifully! When looking at our photos we felt like we re-lived our wedding day exactly how it was. What a pro!
Ashley was just training when he took photos of our wedding and came along with our photographer for experience. Having now seen his photos, I can whole heartedly say - what a pro! We absolutely love them. Natural photos that have caught people in their best lights. Hi, I’m Ashley :) I run Ashley Morton Photography and I absolutely love photographing weddings! I never take for granted the privilege it is to be asked to capture the day that two people commit their lives to each other. On the day, you will find me very relaxed and easy to work with and, hopefully, a calming influence as I help you navigate your way through the running order. My documentary style means I will let the action and frivolities of your day unfold before my camera, capturing them in an unscripted, unstaged and completely natural way. As well as those natural moments, the part of day I really enjoy is when the two of you get to step away from the hustle and bustle for a while and just enjoy each other’s company in the surroundings of whichever beautiful location you have chosen. During these moments, I will create gorgeous portraits of you both looking fabulous which you will enjoy and cherish for the rest of your lives. Other than having The Best Job In The World, my life is a deep ocean of other complex hobbies and interests! I crossed off a bucket list item in 2021 when my band played Reading and Leeds festivals, so I can genuinely say that I’ve been on the same bill as Stormzy! I am also a huge film lover. If you visit my website, you may spot a few quotes from some soppy love movies dotted around – full marks if you can get all of them! My love of music and film intersect with my passion for movie soundtracks, the work of John Williams and Hans Zimmer in particular. And then there’s football. As a huge Arsenal fan, I’m conditioned to appreciating beauty and intricacy at the highest level! But overall, I'm just a very laid-back, friendly guy who would love to shoot your wedding for you!
