      Getting married in 11 months

    Hello All!

I've been lurking for a little while and finally plucked the courage to join! Hope I've posted this in the right place.

I'm in the very early stages of planning for my wedding in October 21, there is one thing I've been pondering and I'd love any thoughts on as I'm struggling to find much on Google/Pinterest.

I'm almost certain in not wanting flowers, I'm just not much of a flower person and any of the flowers I do like are much to summery for an October wedding and the clean theme I'm imagining!

For my Bridesmaids I was planning on getting them a beautiful clutch bag, so they still have something to hold/do with their hands and it seconds as a bridesmaid gift.

Table wise I'm looking mainly at greenery, with other trinkets and again no flowers in site.

But then what do I do myself? Would it be strange to just have a bouquet for myself when there are no other flowers to tie in the decor, or do you have any other amazing ideas of bouquet alternatives? I'd prefer to not have a bouquet myself but don't know what to do otherwise! I'm not much of a traditional bride, my dress is a bit different to the ordinary, I'm not planning on having a veil but don't know if this would be a step to far and I'd regret it!

Any help much appreciated and if you've read this far through my essay please pour a drink of your choosing! :)

I've seen pearl and jewel bouquets which looked very different.. could add some photos to one which would make it very personalised to you

I've seen really pretty examples of bridesmaids carrying lanterns. I also saw one with books, which I think would be really awkward to carry but maybe that's just me.

I have seen there is a company called hire and admire blooms who are supposed to be good. I think they basically post your silk bouquets out to you and then you send them back. My friend used them for her wedding and said they where much cheaper than real flowers.

I went with two bridal bouquets, one for walking down the isle/photos and one for throwing. My florist is so amazing though, she is mixing silk and real flowers together. That way you get the feel and scent of a real bouquet but it will last and look nicer on pictures, plus you can get what ever flower you want at any time of the year. Have a look at LÖV Flowers

    Good luck!
