I have seen a really good photography deal. I’m seeiously thing of taking it. In the deal you have the option to pay in full and received a free photo album. I just want to ask if anyone else thinks this is a risky thing to do? It’s a lot of money to part with a year before my wedding day. I guess I’m a worrier and an over thinker. My parents say you shouldn’t pay in full before the service. But the contract states that full payment will need to be made 28 days before the wedding date.

Most photographers the a deposit then you pay the balance 4-6 weeks before the wedding.

Maybe take some insurance out so that if anything goes wrong you’ve got that to fall back on.

You have a rather strange situation indeed. I have been engaged in photography for 15 years and could never afford to transfer my order to someone at the last moment, and even more so to someone so incorrect. This is terrible ! I would advise you to try to fix the situation at least a little and find a less experienced but talented photographer and make a small photo shoot of your family. It is possible by the way to make it in unusual locations so that the photos are brighter and more interesting. I myself often look for locations for photos on https://aperfectspace.com/.
