The Real Wedding of Louise & James

Louise & James's Wedding Story

Hanbury Manor is a former manor house in Ware, Hertfordshire is now run by the global Marriott hotel group and stands in 200 acres of sprawling countryside. This historic country mansion once housed some of England’s most historic figures and was chosen by Louise and James to host their late October wedding.

This was another wedding day which would be caught by pandemic restrictions, including the number of guests allowed to attend. Louise and James chose Poles Hall to stage their marriage ceremony and wedding breakfast – an inspired choice. Poles Hall was the beautiful chapel of the former manor house. Its rejuvenated and distinctive vaulted ceiling with minstrel’s gallery and concealed lighting retained the room’s grandeur without losing any of its atmospheric charm. Hanbury Manor was rebuilt in a stately Jacobean-style and we were surrounded with timeless elegant interiors but with state-of-the-art amenities.

Louise and James’ themed colours decorated the former chapel with blue ribboned chairs and magnificent floral displays. The striking chandeliers and concealed lighting at Hanbury Manor gave an intimate soft glow for the marriage ceremony and produced a dramatic effect when it came to Louise and James’ first dance. After sunset, the hotel’s extensive gardens came to life with soft, discrete lighting around the grounds.

Once again, this awful virus failed to dampen a bubbly couple’s beautiful occasion in this lovely wedding venue.
