Celyn & Dai's Wedding Story
I first heard from this beautiful pair just a few months before their wedding as photography originally wasn't really on their priority list but as their day got closer (and after a little persuasion from some friends & family) they decided to have a little shop around. And found...well, ME!
Celyn told me all about their two day wedding plans - glitter, street food, live music, doggos and beaches. It all sounded like a DREAM to me! And although I personally wasn't able to capture their blessing/reception, my associate photographer Kate Ventress made sure Carmel McCabe photography could capture all the fun! I was however lucky enough to be available for their "legal celebrations" and joined them for an adventure under the early August sunshine.
We headed down to Ogmore beach with their very well behaved dog, had a paddle, a giggle, a cuddle and soaked up the rays before heading back to their first venue, Cobbles Cafe & Deli for afternoon tea.
Cobbles is an absolutely beautiful venue, and one that has been on my wedding bucket list for awhile! It did not disappoint, especially on a peak summers day. Surrounded my lush green fields and a stones throw from the beach complete with that nostalgic sea air smell. It's perfect for a cosy rustic wedding and an effortlessly beautiful space for photos.
After a quick 10 minutes of family shots and a few more couples photos around Cobbles (I mean, look at those flowers!) I bid the pair goodbye so they could sit down to lunch with their nearest and dearest and wished them love and luck for the following day of celebrations.
From what Kate tells me and from editing the photos, C&D's second day of wedding celebrations was QUITE the event! With even more beautiful sunshine, lots of homemade delicious food, amazing music and nothing but good vibes. All in the setting of their very own cafe - Wildflower Kitchen. Congratulations Celyn & Dai, thanks for having us capture all your fun and i'll be in soon for one of those massive veggie breakfasts!
