Amanda & Steve's Wedding Story
Our Wedding Ceremony took place at the nearby Bridgford Hall in West Bridgford Park. On leaving, there was a feeling of great happiness emanating from everyone and also one of anticipation, as we were walking to the world famous Trent Bridge Cricket Ground for the Wedding Breakfast. Cricket fans and those with no interest interest in sport, were excited and no one was disappointed.
As the Bride and Groom, we wanted to create a happy, relaxed, informal occasion where everyone could be together and just have a lovely time.
Trent Bridge delivered.
From the first time we met Hollie and her team we were impressed by the facilities and how they listened and helped develop our ideas.
During the planning, nothing was too much trouble, we were even invited for lunch to sample the menu and the wine we had chosen, with a table overlooking the ground in The Boundary's Edge. The view across the pitch and beyond, towards the south Nottinghamshire countryside is impressive. Having access to the Balcony in the Radcliffe Road Stand and access to the edge of the pitch, was a real bonus.
The team helped us prepare the room, allowing us access the day before and they were happy to rescue a sticky situation by decorating our Wedding Cake on the morning of the day. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and there was no fuss about catering for allergies / intolerances.
A perfect unhurried day that will live long in the memory of everyone there, thanks in no small part to Trent Bridge.
The following day, we went back to thank the team and pick up some personal items. At the gate, we were greeted by the Security Guard who waved us into the car park. As we got out, he recognised us and ran up to wish us congratulations. Another example of a very special team.
As a bonus, we received complimentary Membership of Notts CCC for the season and will be invited back for a lunch to celebrate our first anniversary.
Wonderful!
