Information For Trinity House
Trinity House is an exceptional luxury venue that offers bridal parties a unique opportunity to celebrate a special day surrounded by priceless artefacts with a rare direct view of the Tower of London
Trinity House is conveniently located in The City a short walk from the Tower Hill underground station with direct views of the historic Tower of London. The House stands behind a cobbled and railed courtyard, the setting for a segment of the James Bond movie ‘Skyfall’. Indeed, the railings have featured in several filmed productions including ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’, ‘Johnny English Reborn’ and the classic 70’s TV series, ‘The Professionals’, and more recently 'The Invisible Woman' - a film about Charles Dickens.
The House overlooks Trinity Square Gardens and has, as its immediate neighbour, the five-star Four Seasons 10 Trinity Square Hotel. In addition to the location of Tower Hill station on its front door step, the Aldgate and Monument stations are within easy walking distance and major rail links are a short taxi ride. London City Airport is approximately five miles away and a 20-minute drive.
Behind the building’s imposing neo-classical façade, designed by Samuel Wyatt in 1794, are five graceful banqueting and conference rooms – The Library, Court Room, Pepys Room, Luncheon Room and Reading Room.
The House’s particularly beautiful Reception Hall, with its sweeping, twin-curved staircase, and Quarterdeck first floor corridor houses remarkable maritime artefacts - including the bell from the Royal Yacht Britannia - that bear testament to the prominent role played by Trinity House in the nation’s maritime history. The staircase is a popular location for wedding photography.
The oval-shaped Library is the venue’s most spacious room seating up to 130 (180 standing) and characterised by a minstrels’ gallery and beautiful 16th and 17th stained glass windows. The room houses a fascinating collection of antique silverware and its elegant proportions and dramatic view of the Tower of London make it a uniquely English setting for important occasions. Accommodating up to 130 standing and 60 seated, the south-facing Court Room is suffused with natural light from three large windows and features a carpet with the arms of Trinity House.
The history of the House is omnipresent throughout the building with valuable paintings and antiques showcasing the nation’s remarkable nautical heritage. Trinity House is remains today the working home of the General Lighthouse Authority (GLA) for England and Wales and is also a major maritime charity.

Hi - I am the Senior Events Manager at Trinity House with specific responsibility for weddings....I have been supervising weddings at the venue for over three years and for several years prior to this I was Events Manager The Admirable Crichton (and in managerial positions at Painters' and Pewters' Halls and BAFTA). Trinity House is truly a glorious venue for an unforgettable wedding with direct views of the Tower of London and Trinity Square Gardens in front of the building. The rooms have the ambience of a grand private country salon so although there are many impressive life-size paintings and artefacts on display, the rooms are light and spacious and extremely elegant. I'm sure if you visit us you will agree that this is an exceptional venue. I look forward to showing you around!

Top Wedding Tips
Ask the venue manager what is included in the venue hire charges - often tables and chairs are not and these can comprise considerable added charges. Enquire if there is wheelchair access.
You may be tempted to reject the list of preferred caterers offered by the venue to use a personal favourite, but it is almost ALWAYS better to use a caterer that is familiar with and to the venue.
Ask management if an archivist or historian (or owner) associated with the (heritage) venue can be on hand to provide guests with stories and historical background - overseas guests will appreciate it
Trinity House Reviews

We were looking for a central London venue that was easy for everyone to get to. Tucked behind Trinity Gardens with amazing views of the city (and close to the station for those people travelling in): Trinity House perfectly fit the bill.
All our guests loved the historic venue. It was a great conversation starter for people just coming out of lockdown and making their first outing into London after a long time. We particularly enjoyed ringing HMS Britannia ships bell just because we could. The courtyard at the front was an impressive greeting spot for our guests, and it really helped with logistics with having somewhere for our hire cars to wait.
Natasha was wonderful throughout, helping us reschedule and cope with ever changing government regulations, also her suggestion of having the chairs in herringbone layout was a masterstroke, it really enabled our guests to talk to people not just next to each other but rows in front and behind as well. She was also more than happy to accommodate our daft music requests and crisp buffet in the reception, which helped make us more at ease in the grand venue!

Not only is the place more than amazing (you just have to see it) but you will be pushed to find a better event organiser - Zoe.
Every detail was run to perfection on our very special day and, being a perfectionist myself, nothing went un-noticed and I can’t praise everything about this wonderful place enough.
It was the best day of our lives and at the most perfect London venue!

That Trinity House is a gorgeous setting is obvious to anyone who steps inside. What we discovered was everything else it had to offer. Trinity House has a wonderful setup that allows for a ceremony in the main room with musicians in the minstrels gallery, a private antechamber for quiet reflection after the ceremony and the big reception room for drinks and canapés. All with gorgeous views of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. And throughout it all, unerring support from the Trinity House staff: we had Zoë working tirelessly with us to ensure every detail was how we wanted, and always willing to let us view the venue again, on our own or with parents in tow, and Edgar and the Trinity House service staff were there throughout our wedding day making sure it all executed flawlessly.
There are many aspects of that day which help engrave it amongst the pantheon of my greatest memories, but Trinity House is where I became a husband, and I cannot imagine anywhere else I would have rather been.

Edgar and Zoe’s helpfulness from the day we first looked at the venue to the moment we walked out as Husband and Wife was faultless. The wide range of caterer choices was rare and a real bonus. We chose Payne and Gunter and thoroughly recommend their expertise.
Our day was perfect and so many of our guests complimented us on Trinity House, we felt very proud to have held our reception at such an impressive venue. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts – a huge thank you!

The day itself was perfect and went off without a hitch. The ceremony and the Registrars from Islington were wonderful and the views and rooms magnificent. For us and our guests it was absolutely the perfect setting. After drinks, cake and toasts in the Court room, we, along with our 80 guests, walked down to the river passing the Tower of London (and perfect photo opportunities), to pick up a Mississippi paddle steamer (Thames Luxury Charters) for our evening reception. How better to wind up the perfect wedding than with a long cruise and dance along the river to take in the amazing sites of London.
We couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect day with the best of friends and family, made particularly special by great venues and the best support team anyone could wish for. Many of our guests from home and abroad have cited it as the best wedding they have ever attended – I would highly recommend Trinity House (and TLC) to anyone considering a memorable London wedding.

Trinity House is the venue you want to have if you are looking for a classy and timeless location in the city centre of London! The venue is generous in space, with plenty of beautiful rooms where you can spread out different moments of your wedding day, from the ceremony to the reception, the cake cut, the dinner and the party. It is equipped with everything one requires to hold the entire wedding celebration from a to z such as registrars desk, chairs, dining tables and kitchens. When I look back at the photos, we all agree here that Trinity House was just the perfect venue for us to host our wedding as it reflects our taste for timeless and elegant things and location preference (Tower Hill).
I also would like to say something about Zoe. In preparation to the day, Zoe was absolutely brilliant in supporting me every step of the way with suppliers list to reach out to and anything else that needed to be sorted as part of the planning. Zoe excelled over the last 2 weeks before the wedding. She supported me in finalising every detail that needed to be ready for the day and always replied to my e-mails in a timely manner, which made so easy for me to move on with my planning schedule. Zoe was at Trinity House on the wedding day as well to ensure everything was running smoothly as planned. Seeing Zoe around and talking to her every now and then while the wedding day was running was such a reassuring factor for me. I could see her walking around the rooms coordinating the schedule, talking to the caterers and communicating with my bridesmaids too from time to time.
Thank you so much Zoe and Trinity House's team for contribute to making our wedding day just perfect!

Its rich history, architectural and interior beauty, along with its prime location make it a uniquely perfect venue for a London wedding. Zoe and the rest of the Trinity House venue team made it even more a pleasure to host our special day there.
Their experience and knowledge of the venue, area and weddings were invaluable. I wish I could do it there all again!
Lucy, recent bride.

From the moment we saw it, we knew it was for us. The location, and views of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London were just stunning - and the house itself worked perfectly for our numbers, with its traditional decor contrasting nicely with our more contemporary reception venue.
The layout of the House was perfect for our plans - allowing us to accommodate our 120 guest in library, and using the musician's gallery for a string trio to play throughout the ceremony (the room's acoustics are ideal for this). We then had a short champagne reception in the adjoining room before getting some fantastic photos taking in both Trinity House and some of the surrounding landmarks.
We then jumped on a red routemaster right outside to take us on to our wedding party!
Zoe at Trinity House was absolutely brilliant at helping to make our plans a reality. From the initial initial enquiry to the day itself, she was always on hand to answer any questions, suggest ideas and ensure that all the final details fell into place. We also really appreciated the flexibility of being able to provide our own drinks for the reception - something that's often not the case with traditional wedding venues!
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Trinity House to couples looking for an iconic yet relaxed Central London venue for their special day.

Zoe Turner was amazing in helping us organise our day. She helped us with recommendations for suppliers, timings, layouts, calming our nerves(!), helping us on the day with making sure everyone was in the right place and even helped me get changed into my evening dress. She even recommended a few tissues for Tony to keep in his pocket just in case the ceremony got a bit emotional!!

The grand staircase, stained glass windows, paintings and décor are stunning, as are the views of Tower Bridge, Tower of London and Trinity Square from the huge upstairs windows. We looked at a number of venues before coming to Trinity House and when we saw it we just knew that it was exactly what we were looking for.
We had use of the entire building for the day, and it did not feel too big (like some other venues we viewed) for our wedding party of 45.
Zoe was just wonderful to deal with and provided us with excellent advice throughout the wedding planning. She put us in touch with excellent suppliers and was always available to provide ideas and suggestions when we were not sure what to do. Upon her advice we chose to have the ceremony in the Court Room, drinks reception at the Entrance Hall, and the meal in the Library with everyone sitting at one long table, which due to our small number of guests worked very well.
Zoe was extremely professional, helpful, kind and well organised in dealing with ourselves and in coordinating things with the caterers, florist, photographers, and piper. Many of our guests mentioned to us how impressed they were with Trinity House and how well the day went.
A huge THANK YOU for making our day so special.
