Julie is a credit to the hotel
My husband to be and I came to dinner with his parents. The food and service were phenomenal. Julie is so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. She is absolutely fabulous at her role. It's clear to see she really cares about her guests and customers. Hospitality is difficult at the best of times and Julie thrived and excelled when it was really busy. Always smiling and never appeared flustered. She was warm welcoming, kind and efficient and is an asset the hotel. She looked after us all day! We can't wait to have our wedding Reception there! Even down to the lovely ladies on reception, so helpful and welcoming. Isobella was wonderful too , so attentive and funny. Sheldon has been absolutely amazing in the organising and fine tuning of our wedding . It wouldn't be possible without him. Nothing is too much trouble for Sheldon and Julie. They go above and beyond. Blown away by their kindness, efficiency and standard of customer service. Cant thank them enough. Highly recommend. Fantastic staff, beautiful wedding venue, great atmosphere, delicious food ! Thanks guys. Leah and Aaron x

What an amazing place an amazing day we got married there yesterday it was spectacular. Sheldon who arranged it for us was a star absolutely recommended. Thanks to Paul for having us we had a great day and everything went to plan. The staff were amazing everyone and everything was awesome we had the best day ever. Thank you

Family wedding venue
My brother and his wife held their wedding at The Diplomat Hotel Restaurant & Spa on Friday 5th August. It is such a lovely venue for a wedding, the food was delicious, our bedroom was a very nice size and very clean. One of the most stand out things though was the staff. They were all so friendly and helpful, it is something that can be lacking at some hotels, which is very sad. I would like to give special mention to Tia, who first looked after us at breakfast on the morning of the wedding, she was a little ray of sunshine, so cheerful and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. She obviously has a special gift for being in the hospitality industry, the hotel is extremely lucky to have her on their staff, and should do all they can to keep her! Would also like to mention her mum (sorry didn't get your name!) as she was also amazing :-)

We had our wedding at this venue Sheldon organised the wedding for us to perfection we had the most amazing wedding from start to finish. Sheldon was fantastic everything was amazing he got everything right for us he made our day stress free the food was outstanding room beautiful and every guest was made to feel special I cannot put into words how Sheldon and his team were so brilliant we can't thank you enough we had the most special day if you're thinking of booking a wedding there don't hesitate it was outstanding

Nothing too much trouble
I stayed in the bridal suite - the room is very big and the bathroom is massive! There was plenty of space for 11 girls to get wedding ready. We booked the 4 rooms around the bridal suite so felt we had an entire wing to ourselves! It felt very private.
We had breakfast delivered to the room - plenty of fruit, toast and pastries, as well as hot food to order. The staff were very kind and accommodating. Once we were ready there was plenty of natural light for photographs, and I also had some lovely photos coming down the staircase.
Thank you very much hotel staff for helping making the morning of my wedding special.
