Wedding Venues in Stansted

This lovely little village is somewhat overshadowed by the enormous airport under the same name. But Stansted the village has so much more to offer in our opinion, especially when it comes to hosting weddings.


The village is a rural parish in the Tonbridge and Malling district of Kent. The name literally means ‘stony place,’ so the architecture of Stansted is fairly self explanatory in its title. The Morris dancers here were one of the earliest groups to form from the revival of the activity in 1934.


Also in Stansted, you’ll find Hemsley Conservation Centre, home to an abundance of lemurs, the Great Comp Garden with its trickling waterfalls, and the Kent Firefighting Museum, a very important aspect to a very dry part of Britain. Make sure you visit Trosley Country Park too for an exploration of the natural landscape.
