We got married at this hidden gem in July 23. There is something about this place that is magical. Despite the weather being against us we truly had the best day. It has a real relaxed feeling and rustic charm that is unbeatable. Lynden was a great host and was absolutely fantastic on the day :)

Jess and Lynden and all the family have created the most beautiful little canvas on which to paint a perfect wedding. Kings Acre was only the 2nd place we looked at and we fell in love with it immediately, pushing everything else off the table. This was were we were getting married!
Jess and Lynden treated us like friends rather than customers and the build up to the wedding was just full of excitement! No stress whatsoever. We knew it was all going to be just fine in their more than capable hands. The setting is intimate enough for a small wedding but spacious enough for a hoopla, the cute little bar is well stocked and it's just gorgeous to sit out on the deck or around the pond as the sun goes down. It really was our perfect day and one that our friends and family still talk about regularly 6 years later! If you want to create a quirky, charming, relaxed, bespoke wedding, you need to get married at Kings Acre!

If you've never planned a wedding (and that's probably most of us), you will encounter endless questions and challenges along the planning process.

This was quite daunting but our initial meeting at Kings Acre with Jess and Lynden gave us some peace of mind straight away.

We weren't quite sure what exactly we were looking for and Jess was giving us loads of ideas what we could do at Kings Acre to make our day perfect.

The location is fantastic as we had quite a few guests coming from abroad and travelling from Manchester and Liverpool airport.

We also wanted some accommodation on site - for us and the guests. The lodge was perfect for us girls to get ready and we were able to watch guests arriving while we had a cheeky glass of bubbly before walking the aile.

Some of our guests stayed in the amazing bell tents while other brought their own tents and some of the older guests stayed in Hotels nearby.

Because we had the whole site to ourselves we made a whole weekend out of it with a BBQ on Friday night and the bar was open as well.

The catering company (suggested by Jess and Lynden) was really easy to deal with and super tasty. We opted for a south african BBQ buffet with some bacon rolls later in the evening to soak up some of the drinks.

During the whole planning process, Jess was there to answer any question.

We had a live band in the evening and didn't even think about them setting up etc. but Lynden dealt with it before we even knew it's something that needs to be sorted.

We wanted a relaxed day without too much of an agenda and the surroundings were perfect for that. After our ceremony we were able to linger with our guests and had the most stunning pictures taken by the little pond and the marquee.

Looking back on the day, there is absolutely nothing we would change or do differently.
