In 2021 Dunston Hall Estate was gracefully restored to create a beautiful, authentic space in which you can gather with the ones you cherish the most.
Although it no longer has permanent residents, the hall is your idyllic home away form home, and the estate is now an outstanding venue for weddings and events with its timelessly elegant setting.
Dunston Hall Estate oozes character and style and provides a hidden gem that’s peacefully tucked away from the bustle of the neighbouring market town.
Our team are on hand to bring to life your dream wedding day, and ensure that you leave us with memories that will last a lifetime.
Dunston Hall Estate is hired on an exclusive basis (from 12pm until 12pm the following day) meaning you get sole use of the hall and grounds for the duration of your stay with us, along with The Stables for your wedding reception.
We can accommodate indoor ceremonies in our dedicated ceremony space The Garden Room, or outdoors on the front lawn.
Whether you wish to have a midweek or a weekend gathering, we have a flexible approach to the flow of a day, meaning you can create an experience that is unique and personal to you.
Our in house chefs will cater for your arrival, wedding breakfast and reception requirements. We will cover all aspects of your catering and service needs. We will provide all of the drinks for your day, whether you choose to opt for a drinks package or let your guests order for themselves from our bar.
Our events team will be present throughout to coordinate the day, act as your master of ceremonies, serve the food and drink and ensure that everything runs perfectly.
Everything else is up to you, but please let us know if you would like us to point you in the direction of some very talented suppliers.
Venue Hire prices start from £3,000 and vary depending on the length of your stay with us, the day of the week and season. Dates are subject to availability. Please contact us for a bespoke quote.
Dunston Hall Estate is an ‘exclusive use’ venue which means we only ever permit and host one event at a time. You will be the only couple getting married and using the Hall, The Stables and grounds and our experienced team of staff will all be dedicated to looking after you and your guests for your entire event. Seating in The Stables can be provided for up to 80 guests for the wedding breakfast. Any children that require either a chair or highchair for the Wedding Breakfast are counted as a guest. Babes in arms, who are unable to sit yet, are not.
Our Maximum guest numbers are 80 for the daytime and 120 for the evening. Ages 12 and under will eat from the Children’s Menu, ages 13 and above will eat the same as the Adult’s Menu.
We fully understand that the catering plays a vital role throughout the course of your wedding day. With our fabulous team of Dunston Hall Estate Chefs, all of your food requirements are taken care of. We can cater to all dietary requirements and our Chefs are well-informed about the special conditions that may need to be in place regarding certain allergies. Dunston Hall Estate can supply all alcohol for your wedding day and has a comprehensive Wine and Drinks List. This includes Reception drinks, wine during the Wedding Breakfast and Champagne or Prosecco for the Toast.
We also have a well-stocked bar with a good selection of wines, spirits, lagers, cider, ale and soft drinks. We love to support local and have a number of locally made Gins and Ales to choose from.
Our bar accepts both cash and card payments.
After booking Dunston Hall Estate for a wedding, couples will be introduced to our fantastic Event Manager and Event Supervisor, working as a team with your Wedding Coordinator they will support, advise and guide you throughout your planning stages and look after you and your guests at your wedding.
Our Event Manager will run your day, coordinate our experienced team of staff and make sure everything goes smoothly. Your Wedding Coordinator will also be there to support you.
Residential guests can park in the Hall car park overnight. As space is limited, your additional wedding guests can park in our Events car park, which is accessed at the rear of our Garden Centre and Bistro car park. There is a lit gravel path which leads guests to The Hall and The Stables. Please note that our car park is locked when the wedding reception ends, and opening again at 9am the following morning.

The ceremony room is breathtaking and was further enhanced by ‘Lillies Bespoke Faux Flowers’. I guarantee you will not fail to fall in love with it.
The Stable room which held the wedding breakfast is amazing, just so elegant and classy.
The bedrooms are again just beautiful. The beds are extremely comfortable, the duvets and towels just so soft and fluffy.
They really have thought of everything to ensure you have a perfect stay.
A huge thank you to all the staff who made my day one I will never forget. Special thanks to Mark - as my day got closer, I was getting more nervous about how it would be. You were constantly reassuring me - you said it would be as perfect as it could be, and you were right. It was just perfect.
Macauley - from first meeting you, you were warm, welcoming and so very helpful. You even went as far as a practice walk down the aisle :) and making sure my trail on my dress was perfect. Thank you!
Anna - for your communication throughout, the emails too and fro to again ensure my day was all I wanted.
Jordon - the food was spot on. Looked delicious and the taste matched. All the guests were full of compliments about the food. Thank you!
Dunston Hall is a place you must go and visit when considering venues. I promise you will not be disappointed. I just wish I could do it all over again!
We were welcomed by Macaulay, Claire and Anna, who were truly amazing ladies! Nothing was too much trouble, they understood our vision and delivered above and beyond our expectations. Mark was also absolutely fantastic, we met Mark on the day and he became a familiar friendly face for our family and friends throughout the day, helping make sure our day was perfect! So many of our guests commented on how lovely the staff are, words really don’t do them justice! The hardest part was actually saying goodbye to the members of staff, they became a huge part of our journey and our experience would not have been the same without them.
We were also so impressed with food, and received amazing feedback from our guests regarding the wedding breakfast and evening BBQ. The portion sizes were so generous, they even offered more bread for the soup, more gravy for the roast beef, they really looked after each and every one of us and catered for dietary requirements incredibly well too!
From start to finish, Dunston Hall was perfect, I am so pleased I came across them, they really did create the most memorable day for us and our family.

The start of our journey was bumpy with changes in management, but Macauley, Anna and the team went over and above to make sure everything was perfect. You can really tell the team care and they make you feel like you aren't just another wedding! All our guests commented on how attentive and just lovely all the staff were all weekend!
Jordan designed an Italian inspired menu, making sure it was exactly what we wanted and him and the team really delivered! The food all weekend was delicious!!
