Opening in 2024, Hackney Venues is thrilled to bring you Abney Park Chapel as the newest addition to their portfolio! Set to be one of Hackney's most exclusive & unique wedding venues, Abney Park Chapel is perfect for an intimate ceremony and/or reception. Capacity set to be approximately 50 with a possible further 20 on the mezzanine level.

Abney Park Chapel is a magnificent Grade II listed building located in Abney Park, currently undergoing major improvement work. It was designed by William Hosking and is the oldest surviving non-denominational chapel in Europe, completed in 1842. Restoration works include the addition of brand new stained glass windows, new seating at mezzanine level, new flooring, toilet facilities, electrics & lighting.

Located between Stoke Newington Church Street and Stoke Newington High Street, Abney Park covers 12.5 hectares. This tranquil, historic and biodiverse green space is listed as a Grade II park on Historic England's register of parks and gardens and is one the magnificent seven cemeteries in London. The elaborate monuments and ancient trees provide a serene and unique atmosphere for your event.
