Information For Abbots Court Rural Retreat

A Weekend Wedding experience nestled in the Dorset Countryside surrounded by six acres of woodland offering the utmost in tranquility

Here at Abbots Court we like to refer to our Weddings as an experience and not just one day. As part of our Wedding package the couple get use of the entire nine bedroomed house and grounds for a minimum of two nights. Additional nights can be added on if required (discounted rates will apply) and an extra clean is provided on the Saturday morning. We are licensed for Civil Ceremonies in our newly refurbished Victorian stables, a converted Stable with original beams and roof lights...Stunning! The wedding meal and evening reception takes place in the Pavilion which overlooks the beautifully landscaped walled garden boasting many unique features.The house itself sleeps up to 18 (plus 3 sofa beds) and we also have 6 Luxury glamping pods just beyond the walled garden- perfect for friends! Our 8 bedroom Almer Manor house is also available (subject to availability), located just a few miles up the road.

All Catering is outsourced and we have a varied, but excellent, list of suppliers that will ensure your day goes without a hitch. However, if you have your heart set on your own Caterers this is something that can be discussed.
Food trucks for the evening reception is not a problem.

We will be offering drinks package options and details of these should be available in the coming weeks. There will also be two bars operating on the day of the wedding. If you did want to bring in your own wine/champagne, this is permitted for the drinks reception and wedding meal only.

Live bands are not an issue and there will be a raised area by the dancefloor (in the Pavilion)) for them to set up. Please note we are licensed for amplified music until 11pm with all guests off site by Midnight, apart from those staying in the house and pods.
