Found down a private drive, in the heart of Sussex countryside and surrounded by the greater Balcombe Estate, the house enjoys privacy and seclusion all year round. With views of the landscaped garden and the far reaching Downs, Balcombe Place epitomises British country living.
Available as an exclusive use property, Balcombe Place is the perfect house for you to make your home. Whether you are here for the day, or the weekend, your home will only be filled with your guests. The house offers flexibility to use it as you wish, allowing you to create the day you have always dreamed of. The luxury, elegance and grandeur of Balcombe Place make it the perfect backdrop to your celebrations.
With five stunning reception rooms, formal gardens and the privacy of the surrounding estate, Balcombe Place is flexible to your needs and wants. You can decide how you would like to use the house and grounds, inside or outside, formal and traditional or something quirky and relaxed, every detail of your wedding is personal to you and we intend to keep it that way.
Balcombe Place can be yours just for the day, for the weekend, or even the week! Gather your nearest and dearest around you to help celebrate your wedding in true style.
Create incredible memories with your nearest and dearest and take Balcombe Place for a two night stay. Make the house completely your own. You are welcome from 1pm the day prior to your wedding. Spend the day drinking rose in the gardens, adding the final details to your set up, or just spoiling yourself in one of our roll top baths. As the evening sun sets a two-course supper chosen by you and created by our in-house chef is provided for your and your house guests in the family dining room.
Waking up on your wedding day, we will provide a continental breakfast for you and your guests. A light lunch can also be provided and we will happily bring both to your room, should you be in full wedding preparations. Once the night has closed, and your party have retired, you and your house guests can revel the rest of the night away. A short climb up the stairs and you can all rest in the luxurious beds that wait for you.
The morning after the night before a full English breakfast will be provided for your guests and you are able to mosey through the morning until 1pm. If you would like to stay longer, have a big brunch or lunch, maybe even invite some of your guests back for a second day, we can organise it all.
Weddings at Balcombe Place can be a magical one day affair. You will have access to the house between 3pm and 5pm the day before your wedding allowing you to make a drop off, or add any finishing touches to your set up. On the day of your wedding, the doors will be open to you and your suppliers from 8:00am. You can arrive and relax. Breakfast and a light lunch can be provided for you on request and the bridal suite is all yours for your first night together. Available January, February or March.
CEREMONY There are many different places to marry at Balcombe Place depending on size, season and style, from the opulent drawing room to keeping it simple on the lawn.
THE LIBRARY Dark wood panelling, writing desk and ornate ceilings makes the library a more intimate setting to say those important words to each other. 30 guests.
THE DRAWING ROOM The large marble fireplace is the focal point of the room. A bay of sash windows fills the room with natural light. 100 guests.
The MUSIC ROOM A tall arched ceiling, wooden panelling and an organ and minstrel gallery, this room is like nothing you have seen before. 120 guests.
OUTSIDE Dreaming of an outside wedding? Birds singing and the sun shining? Create a personal and less traditional ceremony in the beautiful grounds of Balcombe Place. We can recommend celebrants to work with you to create a truly unique ceremony that focuses on your story and your journey as a couple.
CHURCH If you want a traditional Church wedding, there are a number of local churches. Balcombe Church is just five minutes down the road, in the village. If you are having your ceremony elsewhere, you are welcome at Balcombe Place before and, of course, after your ceremony.
RECEPTION Enjoy drinks and canapés on the lawn, with the house as your backdrop allowing guests to wander around our five glorious reception rooms. Whether it's garden games and Pimms in the sunshine, or warming fires and mulled wine, Balcombe Place is ready to celebrate throughout the seasons. Toast your first moments together with the people you love in a setting you will never forget.

THE MUSIC ROOM Unique and breathtaking, 80 guests on round tables.
THE BILLIARD ROOM Connected with the Music Room by two large archways, additional seating is provided here. 40 guests on round tables.
THE DRAWING ROOM Bay windows fill the room with natural light. 40 guests on round tables.
THE MAIN HALL Dining in the very heart of the house. 80 guests on round tables.
Additional guests can be seated on trestle tables.
MARQUEE Extend the house to sit more guests. Open the sides to enjoy the garden and views. You can party in your marquee, or come back into the house following your meal. 350 guests.
DANCING When it is time to really celebrate, to dance and laugh together, finding the right spot is essential. The maximum number of guests partying in the house is 350 but you can pick your dance floor.

GOOD TO KNOW
THE BEDROOMS 13 en-suite bedrooms are currently available. 1 further en-suite bedroom will be available in time.
FOOD We have personally selected caterers for you to use here at Balcombe Place. All experts in their field, and with inside knowledge of Balcombe Place they are perfectly partnered with us to provide incredible food and service throughout your event. Our in-house chef is on hand for all of your house meals and to tailor everything to your need and wants.
DRINKS Balcombe Place offers a wide selection of drinks for you and your guests. You are able to order from us and we will take care of delivery, preparation and service.
You are welcome to bring your own alcohol for your reception, meal and speeches. Corkage fees apply.
BAR We take care of the bar for you, we stock it and run it. You can arrange a pre-paid tab or let your guests buy the drinks.
STYLING We offer additional styling services to ensure your wedding looks exactly as you imagined it would. Take advantage of our knowledge of the house and grounds to bring the stunning details together.

In the last five years, Emma has organized over 90 weddings so knows a little about what it takes to create the most incredible day. You planner, confidant, friend - Emma will take all the stress away and ensure you enjoy every minute of your new adventure.
