We live and breathe wedding photography, it is in our blood and it should be, we've been photographing weddings professionally since 1980, the year of the Moscow Olympics where Team GB won just 5 Gold medals, and the year that Austin launched the Mini Metro.
Even after all that time we still feel the thrill and the rush of excitement of the big day and, of course, we are thankful and privileged to have been chosen to capture it; while it's a heavy responsibility, it is something we thrive on.
We are always respectful and discreet during every wedding we cover, doing our bit to make it run smoothly, they are a delight to be involved in. Most of all we get the greatest pleasure from seeing clients' delighted faces when we present our images, to enhance the memories of their special day. That is why we are professional photographers and that is why we particularly love photographing weddings.
Below is our list of standard package prices, quick and off-the-shelf to help you decide which suits you best, however, it is your day and you can decide exactly what you require by adding extra items from the bottom of the page to the Crystal or Silver packages at the top.

Also, our belief is that prints should be cost effective and show value for money, with Solid they start at just £2.00, the same price as when we started as professional photographers in 1980.

Always employ a professional, leaving your special day to an amateur will cost you so much more. The more experienced you can find, the easier it will be for them to deal with adverse weather.
Meet with your photographer, nobody likes a grumpy or scruffy (of both) photographer on their special day, at Solid we are always smart and happy, we add positively to the day, not negatively.
Think twice about employing ‘Documentary Wedding Photographers’, you’ll be disappointed when you have no family groups in the end as ‘they don’t do that’. A 75%-25% split of natural & formal is best.

Meet the Owner
I was just 16 when I had gotten the telephone call from the famous local photographer, it was a Saturday morning in 1980 and I'd just left school. On the following Monday I'd joined a small band of photographers at the studio, Frank Barry Studios in Hayes, Middlesex. Frank had been born in 1896 and had been a professional photographer in the same studio since 1932. To put that into context, the Empire State Building was just one year old. For five years Frank trained me not only to take photos, initially using Rolleiflex f2.8 cameras, (a tattoo of which I have to celebrate), but also the processing, printing and finishing of my work. In those years and, under Frank's tutelage, I photographed my first solo wedding at the age of 17 but also I began to appreciate the simplicity of photography, it is after all just the manipulation of light. What I was also aware of was that I’d become head over heals in love with the art. That was forty years ago and with in-excess of 750,000 professional images taken; the fresh faced 16 year old is now a weather worn 55, inside though beats the heart of an excited child whenever I pick up a camera, and to Frank I give my utmost appreciation for this wonderful feeling. As an ever passionate, dedicated, professional photographer with almost 4 decades of experience, covering Weddings, Family and Corporate Portraits/Events, together with Commercial and Fashion assignments, I know we offer the very best, most competitively priced and friendly service available.
