Ive been passionate about photography since childhood, and I started taking photographs seriously when I was a teenager. Having worked in Film & Video in London from my late 20s to early 40s, I continued with my photography on a personal level throughout, and then when I had enough of London, and wanted a change, and wanted to move down South, I decided to pursue my passion professionally, and thats when, four years ago, I left London and moved to Hastings to set up my photography business. I haven't looked back! I shot a few weddings for free, for friends and family, to gain experience with the more tricky shots, but right away, I felt comfortable doing wedding photography, and I absolutely love it. Portraits is my main passion, and I think Wedding Photography is almost totally about portraits. Yes, there are the shots of the cake, the rings, the flowers, the setting, but mostly, its people. Beautiful portrait shots of the Bride & Groom are for many Brides, the most important shots of the day, and I pride myself on always being able to deliver a number of different, but equally stunning Bride & Groom shots. For the shots of the guests, I like to capture natural expressions as much as possible, giving couples a great mix of candid shots of their guests mixed in with all the posed and more formal shots. I like to visit the Wedding Venue in advance, ideally with the couple, as this can be very beneficial to both of us in terms of clarifying what areas look best for the formal family / group shots and which areas can work best for the Bride & Groom shots.

Top Wedding Tips
Relax and enjoy your big day! When people are relaxed and happy, they always look great in photos. Thats definitely my number one tip for couples!
Don't worry about bad weather, it can happen, and can be atmospheric. Ive got some of my best shots on overcast and even rainy days. A moody sky can make for really dramatic Bride & Groom shots.
This is a tip for Photographers - The most important thing is the light - always work with the natural light you have available, and remember, bright, midday to early afternoon sun to be avoided!

Meet the Owner
Hi! Im based in Hastings, and cover the East Sussex area, and into Kent too. I would describe my approach to wedding photography as modern, natural, elegant, mostly reportage style. I like to do classic posed, beautiful shots of the Bride & Groom, as well as stylish, classically composed ‘formal' group shots of family, bridesmaids, groomsmen etc, (whatever the couple wants) as well as all the details and personal touches, but mostly I take lots of natural, candid shots, capturing the guests and everything that goes on, in a discreet, unobtrusive way, so that the images reflect the reality of the day, and the emotions captured are real. I often use long lenses, so I can get close up shots from a discreet distance. Having said that, if a client has a particular approach or style they want me to follow, Im very open to that. Im there to serve the Bride and Groom, and to give them images they will love. So if you wanted some quirky or humorous type shots, Im very happy to adopt this style for certain images too. I take around 1500 - 2000 photos, and from these select the very best images, giving the couple around 450 - 550 exceptional and high quality images. The images are delivered to you on a stylish Walnut USB memory stick, which comes in a Walnut presentation box, engraved with ‘Our Wedding’. Photos are delivered around two weeks after the wedding. All the images are adjusted for optimum brightness, contrast, skin tone etc, to make them look their very best. I’m also skilled with Photoshop and retouching, and am happy to do additional work on up to twenty of your favourite images, at no extra charge, this is part of the package I offer.
