Information For Sarah Furniss Photography
My work is heavily influenced by documentary and street photography, and I am most interested in capturing furtive smiles, telling glances and touching moments. I am inspired by Shirley Baker, Vivian Maier and Berenice Abbott, all of whose work I love. Baker in particular had very similar views about photography to mine, preferring quotidian scenes rather than photographs of celebrities, along with unposed, spontaneous moments instead of set-ups. I have been a photographer since 2014 and have a First Class Photography Degree from the Open College of the Arts/University of the Creative Arts (2021). From September, 2021, I will be studying for MA in Photography: Practices and Philosophies at St. Martins (UAL)*. I used to work as an actor before having a brief stint marketing in the City. I have three children and live in London.

Top Wedding Tips
Make sure you meet your photographer before signing them up to take images of your wedding. You need to trust you have the right working relationship.
A wedding doesn't need to be expensive to be meaningful. Some of the most touching weddings I've been to are the smallest and most discrete.
Make sure you have the people you want at your wedding - it's your day and no-one else.
