Information For Amy Takes Photos

I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. I want to capture the atmosphere and emotion at occasions of all shapes and sizes.

My favourite thing is to photograph people. Especially their emotional, hilarious and sometimes embarrassing moments. Capturing a split second that would otherwise be missed and forgotten makes me so happy. Each wedding is full of personality and photographing the day as it unfolds is so important to me. Whether yours is traditional or alternative it’s showcasing your style and individuality. Turning up at each wedding to see your vision come to life keeps me intrigued.
I aim is to capture relaxed and fun shots but also offer the encouragement you need to photograph a beautiful set of couple photos. Don’t be nervous, that’s what I’m here for!

Creative Birmingham Wedding Photography with as much romance as you want to throw in. I’ve been building my wedding portfolio for years, starting in Ironbridge and venturing as far as Scotland and Crete so although I mainly shoot weddings in The West Midlands,I love travelling. I capture moments, emotions and document your day as it unfolds. Less posing more fun. The best thing about photographing weddings for me is that I get to be part of your family for just one day. I spend more time with you than anyone else so it’s really important you feel comfortable with me. I want to blend in with everyone and capture every moment without being intrusive. Except when it’s time for group photos, then I take charge so you get the photos you want and everyone gets back to partying ASAP. Hi I'm Amy and I take photos! A Black Country girl, mum, photographer, creative, skiier, eater of cheese and lover of cats. I’ve lived in Nottingham and France and now I live in Birmingham with Louis. He’s a sound engineer so we compete for who has the craziest schedule. A few years ago Milo arrived and turned our lives upside down in the best way possible. Oh and don’t forget the cats, Indie and Juno, they’re awesome. I used to spend a lot of time travelling, going out out dancing to Drum and Base or at an 80’s night (depending on my mood), watching boxsets and frequenting as many restaurants as possible. Now you’ll find me hanging out at our favourite soft play, park or farm, with a soft play of course. I love making things, from jewellery to mud kitchens. I enjoy being hands on and getting stuck in. I can’t wait to explore the world with Milo in tow, taking plenty of photos in between.
