    Hi all

For those struggling and want to loose weight sensibly, I have posted a link to a free website on my wall. Its a food diary and calorie counter. Tells you how many calories to eat and how many you have actually eaten, how many you have burned in excercise etc... I love it, was really struggling before and then tried this and have lost 6lbs in 2 weeks. My friend is on there now and has lost a stone in about 5 weeks.

Also the lady who has a year to loose 4 stones, that completely doable - 1lb a week is 3.5 stone so you just need to do it sensibly xxx

    Hey ladies,

Im starting to lose motivation and am feeling really low about weight loss at the moment. I have lost 25lbs since April, and should be really happy, however Im exactly the same size. I dont understand how the scales can be going down but the belt buckle isnt budging.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice? Im finding it hard to find reasons not to just stuff my face right now.

Grrrr, why didnt I just choose bridesmaids and a groom who were much bigger than me!!!! Then I would look fab in comparrison! Haha!

Bought myself zumba fitness for the wii a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to do an hour a day, which I've stuck to apart from the few days I was suffering from a sprained ankle.

Started my diet today, although I've made the mistake of eating far too much fruit, and now I don't feel at all like doing my zumba, but I'm determined to loose at least another 2 stone before the big day (I'm already 2 stone lighter than I was two years ago!). Just waiting for my little brother to leave the room before I get started, its difficult to exercise with all that sniggering going on in the background!

I'm trying to decide which diet to do for my wedding.... what would you recommend? Some questionnaire i took on a website called 'rank my diet' told me to do curves.... a lot of people seem to be doing ww and sw though. I've never heard of curves - have any of you tried it? Thanks (and sorry for posting in your thread - i'm a bit confused about how this all works :))

Personally I'd recommend SW, for WW which I did last year I found I had to count everything - on SW most things are free to eat so you can fill yourself up, and you have a daily syn allowance for you to count your chocolate/alcohol etc. I've also started a bootcamp this month but you can just get started with walking - 45 mins a week gets you a recognition award at SW and keeps the weight coming off too - one lady in my group has lost 1 stone 3 lbs in 4 weeks! Give it a go as you have lots of local groups, if you're not sure about 'curves' then it gives you another excuse to delay starting if you can't find them! They also do bundle packs where if you buy 6 weeks you only pay for 5 etc, so it's worth it just to see how you get along :-)

I need to change the whole way I eat, I think I have food intolerances or sensitivities and it's stringly affecting my gealrh, skin, wellbeing and moodiness.

I thought losing weight for the wedding is a great incentive to actually do it!
I'd love to join Weight Watchers, have only ever heard great things. No money to do it at the moment. I know tge old plans are available on via google.

I've bought 2nd hand to no carbs diet books to cut my sugar addiction (because I think this and wheat is my main culprit) and I want to incorporate lots of raw foods. Will get a book on raw fooding too!

I'm doing WW without joining. I bought the eating out guide on the bay of e and it's helping me make better decisions when I eat out. Today for lunch I went out with a friend and instead of my fave - scampi - or a cheesy pasta dish, I had veggie burger and chips as it was one of the lowest points meals without being a salad (haha I am certainly a dodger!). I'm not going to starve myself of things I enjoy but it is reminding me to eat bad foods in moderation and eat more fruit/veg! I've also bought a basic guide with some foods and their points values. I don't count exactly but it's been helpful. I also like to relaz a little at weekends. I don't want to be miserable and saying no to friends etc so i'd say I am good 90% of the time! Maybe 85...!

I've lost half a stone in 5 weeks. I have also started zumba and have recently upped it to twice a week as well as swimming twice too. I've been surprised by how good I feel afterwards and at least I can say I tried when it gets to the dress fitting/wedding day! I'd hate to look back and think, oh if only i'd got off my backside! x

I get help from a health trainer from the nhs and he is really helpful, he told me not to completely cut out everything like coke but to cut down. I've swapped it for pepsi max now and been eating eating less, a little healthier and been using a treadmill for just over a month and lost 8 pounds.

Also I've booked my wedding ceremony & Venue with a village hotel and we have got for the best package so we get a years free use of the gym & pool which is great as we have about a year and a half till the wedding and we can start using it soon x

Ive been doing SW since March, so far lost 1.5 stone and got a lot more to go! Ive got an incentive now we've set the date, which we only did a few weeks ago, but it still doesnt stop me heading for the biscuit barrell as soon as I get home! Need Will Power, so when you eventually find him kick him my way. I do like it because there arnt as many restrictions as WW, and I cant count calories or points to save my life. I have lots of 'free' foods and lots of fruit etc, but seem to have ground to a halt. Or yo-yoing all over the place.

I havent been dress shopping yet because I think, my god I'm a size 16-18 nothing will fit me which I know isnt true, but its such an off put being a bigger size than all the size 8 dresses that are in the window. If I can shift another stone, then Ive told myself I'll treat myself to a day out with my MOH to go dress shopping because shes more exited than me!

I'm not dieting at all...you'll probably all hate me for this but I started putting on weight after my fella moved in as he always cooks for us and has been trying to get my apetite up to that of a normal person. However we don't have many home cooked meals these days due to work patterns and I've reverted back to my old ways of snacking through the day on caffiene sweets and crisps, sometimes I'll go a couple of days without a meal (yes i know it's really bad for you and not normal) and i've lost about 8lbs so far. was getting a bit porky to be honest. I'm only 5ft 1 and went up to just under 10 stone when i've nearly always been between 7.5 and 8 stone. my goal is 8.5 stone as i looked really ill at 7.5 and it wasn't healthy at all. so i'm getting there. plus i figure with the stress i'll lose a bit more too.
I have an absolutely pants apetite and often just don't fancy anything at all. when you work 12.5 hrs a day and don't get a break you don't really get chance to miss food either it just isn't part of your daily routine.

I must be crazy giving myself only 6 months!

Ok I have been really stupid and my boudoir shoot is booked for exactly one months time and I have not been sticking to my diet. I use the same excuses of work and stress and time etc but really it is my fault. However, I now need to lose about one stone in a month. Anyone got any good meal ideas that work well for them? Is it achievable to lose a stone even?

Soup - I go for something fairy filling but entirely vegetable, like root veg curry soup, or thai pumpkin soup or spicy tomato
Either that or something quite plain like fish and veg with a few potatoes
I tend to go heavy on the veg and fill up on them

SW works on the principle that you fill yourself up with veg and fruit including snacks, and eat lean meat - cutting any visible fat off meat and removing skin from poultry - if you have dressings or yoghurts stick to fat free versions and try to minimise alcohol for the month - also have at least one third of your main meals as veg (except potatoes or parsnip) - that should give you a kick start for the photo shoot! Ooh and if you have tea during the day, try to stick to 250ml semi skimmed milk all day (including with your cereal!)

Ooh and usually people who start SW lose the fastest during the first month - last week there was a lady who's lost 1 stone 3 lbs in 3 weeks! I however, have put on 0.5 lbs since I started in June! Oops!! Hence now I'm trying to get it off in time for the wedding - I'm supposed to go downwards, not up!

hehe glad to see its not just me that falls of the bandwagon. I used to eat cereal at work and this was great but with the cold weather I need something hot. I did take a WW soup to work today but was starving by the end of the school day. Maybe I should have a yogurt with it? 1st 3 is brill.... I am only 9st 5 though and want to get to 8st 5 by the photo shoot though will be happy with 8st 7 even though its still not ideal. Cant believe I did this again. Everytime I have an event, I sabotage my diet. Why do I do this? and then that leaves me panicking or giving up completely if I havent rectified the situation in enough time. I am cutting it very fine. Not a big lover of fish but if it works I will put up with it twice a week for the month.

On WW fruit and veg is free, right? so snack on an apple/box of melon etc during the day to stop you feeling hungry! Put on another 0.5 lbs last night at weigh in but in 10 days have lost 3.5cm off my waist since starting bootcamp so not too upset!

I'm losing it from the wrong places!! I am calorie counting (between 1200 and 1400 a day as I only want to lose around 10lbs). I want it off my muffin top, and although that has reduced, the weight has gone off my bum and thighs - my dress is loose from the hips, so I don't care about the bottom half so much!! It's so frustrating.
