Hey everyone. I bought my dress last year and now that the wedding is getting nearer i need to start thinking about where i am going to get it altered. I bought it from a wedding dress shop that was closing down after being open for years. But now im worrying can i take it to a different wedding dress shop to get it altered as its way to long as im only 5ft and the bust it too large. This time next year ill be married yay!
Might sounds like a silly question but its been on my mind,

    Thank you for your comments
    xx

I would take it to an independent seamstress rather than another wedding shop as they will charge a fortune!

Look for a local seamstress. Try looking for recommendations from family/friends.

Start with an Internet search. Also look out when you're visiting other wedding suppliers as sometimes people will advertise. Any kind of local ads is worth checking as well.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I noticed on book face that a local bridal shop where offering outside alterations so contacted them regarding mine.... They were the same price as the seamstress so I booked my dress in.....

A few of my friends on book face have used her so I know I'm in goods hands. Sometimes based on the recommendations, if they are a little bit more money, it's worth it I think x

I phoned round and asked if they altered wedding dresses. I found one in Wilmslow Z1p Y4rd. Did an excdellent job, and didn't cost the earth. ( I had alot of alterations done on mine too)
