Hi, I looked at them all too. It pays to do your research and search for bargains. Funnily enough though i got my wedding theme from the music video of our favourite song that we are having our first dance to. I love seeing the real life weddings shown in some wedding mags, they give you lots of ideas. The ladies on forums/ websites such as UKBride are great for giving advice, bargain info and brain storming ideas. Bridal shops are another good source of information. Your wedding dress is pivotal to the whole day. For example I didn't know I would pick a slightly vintage looking dress so my ideas of the day changed slightly after I found the one! I don't think we are allowed to name magazines on here, as it may be seen as advertising so I haven't specified but there are some great ones out there and i do have a favourite one.

Honestly I have found this site and the ladies on it, as well as the book of face the most help. I have been to a few fairs but after the 3rd one they do tend to be the same surpliers doing the same things over and over, so not much help after that :-( Although the first one we went to we booked our car on the spot lol the very first thing we booked hehehe). As for mag's im not a big mag person and find them to be a waste of money most of the time. After all most of them have one or two things in them then a website at the bottom saying visit us for more details etc. So why not go to the internet direct do a search and save LOTS of money??? Saying that though I have brought a few WIM (only because I was in them tho hehehehe)

It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.
I dont use this site as often as i used to but buy WIM every month that it comes out, i use google search quite often too x

I think "ooh I want something like...a white comb for my hair" so I search the bay of e and etsy shops for hair comb. And then I go through THOUSANDS of images, it takes time, but I've found soooo many cool things!! Seriously thinking about starting a blog about wedding finds, but I dont like how "messy" blogs get. I want to make a page where you can click "theme" and get a list of themes, pick one, and under it will be items that match. Or you could click "rings" or "combs" etc. Sadly I've found no site like that ANYwhere :/

Mostly online, through google or on here. I might google local florists and then pop into the shop for example. Also chatting to people. Often someone knows of a good photographer, florist, DJ, etc

I'm a genius! hahaha. I've started making "treasury lists" on Etsy. They are themed, and I will be adding more and more, so if anywone wants to see em just go on and search "curator:Keara Nova" :)

We think that the best wedding publication in the UK is wedding ideas magazine. It is small format but packed with ideas.
Googling for stuff will produce millions of results but they are not always reliable so take care.
Wedding shows in your local area are probably the best bet - you'll see everything you need in one place and at many of them you'll get special offers and even a free glass of champagne.
We exhibit at about 50 shows a week during the peak seasons (September - October and January - April). We publish a list of local shows we're attending on our website every Monday. Just click the blue and white button on our home page to see if there's a show near you. The list usually includes shows from all parts of the country.
