I want to order my invitations but don't know where to start. There's so many websites and options. I don't know what's the cheapest/easiest option. I don't want to make the whole thing myself but I don't want to spend loads either. Any advice?

i wanted pocketfold invites, i got a sample off the bay of e and loved them, but when i tried to order them her buisness went off line. i emailed other companys and they wanted over £6 per invite. so i bought everything seperatly and im making them. im getting the information printed at a printers tho but there gonna be only about £1.50 per invite.

I sent away for some samples (you can get one or two for free from some websites) to get ideas of what I wanted and then went to a DIY pocketfold website, bought one of each thing I thought I needed and made one up myself. Now I have the dimensions of the card and an idea what to buy, so I can search the bay and craft stores to find the bits cheaper than if I got them all from the one 'wedding' site, which whacks the price up because they are for a wedding.

I will be making all my stationary myself. After months of convincing myself that I would pay for them to be made I figured I could do them quite easily and a lot cheaper. I've made my place cards already and they cost less than £10 for 100. x

same here - making my own. I ordered save the date magnets from bay of e and asked her if she would print the same cards with just the words 'wedding invitation' and 'evening invitation' on (just on plain card) and I'll use those when making my invites to tie them in, hopefully they'll be arriving soon. The thing that I found was that there is just sooooo many designs to chose from. I found the design I'll be using from once I saw at a very upmarket boutique, they were £6.00 each, took a picky with phone and using that to recreate my own at a fraction of the cost.

Just hoping I don't see any nicer ones in the mean time! lol

We bought ours from a well known card shop in the sale.
For all my invites, about 70 in day and 120 in evening, cost £9 for the lot.
    They are different designs though.
But the way i see it is they are never going to see every invite you send out and will think they got the same as everyone else.
Most guests only throw them away after the event!
