When are you planning to finish work before your wedding?
We're getting married on a Saturday and I was planning on taking annual leave from the Wednesday before, leaving me with the Thursday and Friday to relax (hopefully!). Is anyone else thinking about having more time than this before the wedding? Xx

I'm getting married on the Monday and finishing work the Friday before. My mum is coming up on Saturday and the rest of my immediate family and MoH on Sunday. My family are traveling about 50-60 miles so need to be available to help them find their hotels and the venue. We've got three weeks off after that so I don't mind working up to the last minute.
Thanks ladies. I'm hoping to take two weeks after the wedding - few days for the mini moon and a few more just because :) I'll definitely have to save some days to use next year.xx

I'd probably take the friday off and possibly thursday just to make sure everything is ok and done as we meet the wedding co-ordinator 2 days before to hand over our stuff for the decorations

Thurs Friday off reckon that's enough just to meet guests arriving get nails done etc, having mon and tues off then back to work, 3 weeks later having honeymoon though, give us time to see guests off and regroup

I work nights so Thursday night will be last for the wedding on Sunday and then go on honeymoon 4 days after that for 2 weeks xx

Where I work they allow you to book 3 weeks off in advance, so I have the the week off leading up to my wedding on the Saturday and 2 weeks off after.

i had the whole week off from the sunday for my wedding the next saturday but Im a bit last minute so needed all that time off to finish the little details! :O If you will be pretty much done then just a couple of days to relax will be enough :) xx

I'm going to have my last day on the Wednesday and hopefully have a relaxing Thurs and Fri.... Then going back to work for the week after and going on honeymoon on the next Saturday xxx

H2B and I are taking two weeks off each, one before for preparations and one after for the honeymoon.

When we got married, we both took the week off before the wedding, mainly to chase up suppliers, kick backsides when needed, etc, and the week after was our honeymoon, so book the week off beforehand if you can.

I finished work on the Wednesday for a Saturday wedding. I don't think a whole week is necessary as most things should be done by then so you probably wouldn't have anything to do lol

I'm taking the week off before up to 2 weeks after, so 3 weeks in all. That means from the day I finish work I'll have about 8 days at home sorting stuff, essential as the two days before I'm at the beauticians and have to go set up at the venue!
And we lived happily ever after!

im gunna be in the hotel from the Thursday with my friend and get married on the Saturday. we're getting drunk the Thursday night and then the Friday will just sleep it off so we're fresh for the sat haha
H2B has worked it out so he will be off work the 4 days before we get married (he does shift work, 4 days on, 4 days off) so he wont actually have to book any time off other than the day we marry and the two week after

I'm finishing on the Wednesday and getting married on the Saturday. I live quite remotely, and my girls and I need time to get out to Inverness for a bit of last minute anything before nails get done and we can relax at my home on the Friday. Then my friends can feed me some kalms for the remaining 24 hours!!
I think having two days free before the big day is the best way, less stress in the long run!!

I am hoping to have the Friday off before we get married on the Sunday. As I work in a school I am hoping this will be approved as this will also be the last day before the week off in May.

Aww hun I have to put it in writing to the manager if I want more than 2 weeks off but cant see them saying no. Going to sit down in a minute and figure out where my shifts are around my wedding. Xx

At the mo it looks good (and bad) for me at the same time. Bad because im being made redundant, but good because it's happening a week before the wedding! So I hope to have april out of work and start fresh back from honeymoon 1st may! X
