    Hello all,
I'm planning my wedding for next year and would love it if anyone could give me some tips/ ideas =)
one thing I really would like opinions on is when should you send the invitations out and how long before the wedding should the cut off rsvp date be?
    Any help would be great!

We sent our invites out at the beginning of April (with a 30 day RSVP), and we get married in August. We've had all of our RSVP's now.

I think they say you should send them out around 4-6 months before the wedding but its really up to the individual, taking into consideration whether your wedding is on a weekday/in school holidays/on a public holiday - if so then sending them out earlier is probably a good idea so that people don't book themselves up. A lot of brides are sending out save the dates these days (usually around 12 months before) but you don't have to...i didn't! I get married in May 2015 and I think we are sending ours out in September (doing it a bit early as we are abroad) but pretty much everyone invited knows when it is anyway! As for RSVP date I would say at least 2 months before the wedding so you have plenty of time time to organise table plan if you are having one, confirm numbers with venue/caterers and time to chase people up - i know a LOT of brides on here have been ranting about chasing up non-repliers! hope that helps :)
