Just read the new discussion about the Sophisticake whos joined up with this major competition and it just made me wonder what all you beautiful brides to be would want to do with the £25k if you won that you wouldnt have been able to do before hand!

Me personally, I would move the wedding to later summer next year and have everybody there for the full day - breakfast, ceremony, meal and reception. Plus have a free bar!!! (I'd prob do alot more but thought i;'d get the ball rolling!)

I know from the other discussion they give you a set amount to spend on each area of the wedding but I mean if there was no ties...and you just had £25k...what would YOU do!!!

i think i would just not want any of my guests to go out of pocket! I wanna pay for all their travel and hotel costs all their food and drink. Have an epic hen-do in vegas or something and get a custom made dress! Theres just too much you could do! x

yer ditto me neither! But the florida honeymoon sounds amazing! I'd love to go n stay in like the ice hotel or the underwater hotel in fiji for my honeymoon!

I just wouldn't change anything. I love everything that I have picked for my wedding. Maybe buy more expensive rings but my wedding ring has sentimental value rather than value so no I wouldn't change my ring lol but I would have a longer honeymoon.

Erm... Wouldn't change much really... Maybe offer to fly everyone out and rent villas so they could all stay with us for a whole week and organise loads of fun things to do?

Would obviously have a totally amazing honeymoon, something like what we want to do now but just a bit more like first class tickets or five star hotels and limos haha.

Me too Jilly, I dont care though what if I sound materialistic though because its only a fantasy to me lol. I've not even entered the competition. We are on such a small budget it upsets me sometimes, there are so many things we cant have but I have decided that I have to make the best of what I have. I was desperate for a Beauford though, ever since I was a wee girl I wanted to have the photos of us getting out of the car and confetti being thrown over us. But we just cant afford £300 on a car. Its crazy money!!

Its really hard being on such a small budget especially cos I wanted a really nice honeymoon and have found out we wont have enough money for anything fancy. Ive never really had anything fancy ever

Wow Jillybean that Poseidon resort looks incedible! As two scuba divers that would be our ULTIMATE wedding/honeymoon destination :) But at $30,000 for the two of us for a week (and only 2 nights of that underwater) I think not... :p Xx

my wedding wouldnt be much different really. i would add a couple of people to video the day instead of a family member doing it. , free bar, more people to the wedding breakfast, add the sobets inbetween each course, and the cheese board to end. and would buy the bridesmaid shoes as its the only think they have to pay for. maybe a 12 tier cake.

i think my worst nightmare would be winning 25k and having to spend certian amounts in certian shops and with certian companys i wouldnt like that at all. xx

I'd be really boring and keep my wedding plans as they are & me and my fiancé would go off on a lush honey moon (probs to aus where we'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone & look at some houses heehhe)

I would have a slightly bigger wedding with everyone there. And I would have probably gone for the more expensive dress. I would make it an open bar and I would have an amazing honeymoon.

I'd have everyone flown over 2 Italy 4 our wedding. I don't know what else really. Not into the material things really (except the dress and shoes!)

Goodness me there is so much that we'd change as we've had to do ours on a really low budget, we'd have ours next year instead of 2013 & prob have a honeymoon as we've decided we can't afford 1, We'd probably move the venue to somewhere with beautiful grounds, i'd have a more expensive dress, probably have some1 come and do my hair & makeup. I'd also give some to our local Sea Cadet Corp.

I don't think I'd change much to what we've already planned. I'd just make sure it was a free bar and that the guests had accommodation so could stay over. Would maybe think about having a honeymoon. At the minute we're not planning on having one. even so I don't think I could spend that much. x

I wouldn't change the venue, dress, food etc. I'd definitely get a string quartet for the ceremony (at the moment I'm undecided as we're already having a band later which will be £800, and £600 just for the ceremony for a string quartet is a lot), and we'd probably have a free bar (at the moment we're putting £1.5-2k behind the bar, which won't quite cover everyone's drinks in the evening). I'd also probably get 2 photographers rather than just one, and I'd pay people's transport costs (or hire a coach or something) so everyone could let their hair down properly. I'd also give my BMs much more to spend, and I'd buy them something like a Tiffany necklace as a gift :-)

id invite all my family to come down to plymouth from london as they cant afford to and put them up in a hotel. we would invite the guest's we had to cut off the day time as couldn't afford it. id also have a open bar for a few hours. we would go some where special for our honey moon. id also buy some special outfits for mine and h2b mum as they deserve it!

Wow some great ideas! I like the idea of an all day creche! Maybe an all day and all night creche would be good! lol x

I'd prob decorate the chairs on the evening as well but other than that don't think I would want to change a thing I've done alright on the limited budget I have now lol.

i would hire a beautiful boat and marry at sea just as the sun sets,then party the night away id have fairy lights n candles everywhere, then we'd anchor on a beautiful prvate beach for a huge party under the stars xxx

I'd stop having sleepless nights thinking everything was going to go wrong knowing that it was all paid for :) x

I think if i just had the £25k that i;'d go to my ubersuperdooper dream honeymoon location which would be the turtle islands in Fiji!
