Wow thats a good deal Madam B!

I've spent most of today looking at photographers and the general concensus seems to be between £700 & £1700 - just for photographers alone. So i think what this guy is offering is a good deal but still looking! WOuld prefer someone closer to manchester rather than someone who travels.

It is really really nice to see what everyone else is paying so defo keep them coming it truly is helpin :-) xXx

hey, we're paying £700 for our photographer and £700 for our videographer they are two seperate companies which is why we are doing it that way but in total that is 1400 however it depends on your location that prices vary.

I honestly cant believe what some photographers are charinging. I would NEVEr pay that much for some photos!
ok so we all want nice photos of our big days but i think it's money gone mad personally. dont see how they can justify charging these silly amounts

Tell them its a wedding and everything goes up by about £400!!! lol tell them its a posh do for 12hrs...."ah i'll do it for £250" LOL!

Prob i have is now, ive asked one of my friends (how originally said no!) if he would reconsider - i put forth JUST the photography package that this guy was offering for £820 - n my mate said he would match it for £800 (not really mates rates lol!) but i know him, worked with him at a big brand photography company so Ive seen his work (in a studio!) but bit weary coz i dont know what his outdoor/wedding work is like. surely cant be much different!? Ive asked him to send a few pics over - think he's based in Manc too.

i had a photographer all day for £395 he did bridal prep, ceremony, formals, reception, first dance and cake cutting all images on disk, about 400 of them, if we want album its £90 and got a family friend to do video and its a lovely video, xx

I'm meeting a photographer tonight and another at my venue on Friday these are the 2 i really like the one to night is a man other is a women. only problem is i hate having my picture taken they both do a lot of reportage shots which i think will work best for me.both similar price then man as done work with my venue before as the pics are on his website and i think they look great the couple also had my car lol

I'm finding it really difficult to find the right photographer for the right price. All the cheaper photographers photos do not look very professional and I feel anyone would be able to do as good a job. The photographers I do like are out of my budget! Any advice!? :)

you could contact the photographers you like and ask if they could put together a package within your budget? Worth a shot, I found some who would do cheaper packages for weekdays or if you only wanted them for half a day.

Yeah we found that too - the 'cheaper' photographers we found when we looked at their albums there was nothing particularly special about the photos, it looked like all their best shots were on the website - we saw a lot more consistency with those slightly higher in price :-(

Maybe ask a cheaper photographer about different styles, and ask for a test photoshoot so you can use that to help make your decision maybe? Or if not then ask the photographers you do like for a bespoke package, lots of them do this and you can ask for hi res images all edited on a disc only, then get a photo book album printed yourself - we found most were charging 400-500 for a Graphistudio but the more pages the more expensive, and 700 for a leather bound album!

well photographer as just left seems really nice loved is work exactly what I'm after and was really happy i want beach photos suggested doing some outside the beach huts on the prom prices was in my budget 1100 for the full day with 2 photographers said he takes about 2000 shots through out the day does this back drop thing in the evening to get some funny drink fulled shots of you and guest you just go up to have pics taken sounds bad but looked like fun shots and something different to what other. do for that i get preview book of all shots cd of all images and discount on any album i choose.

Well we went to a wedding fayre last week and found a photographer we fell in love with! He lives near by, n not by the venue but he has such good charisma and AWESOME pictures we're made up! We're paying £1650 in total and that includes

Engagement shoot with disc of images
Shoot on location the morning of the wedding (before we're both dressed up, we're not traditional!)
Bridal & groom prep through to first dance (and people getting pissed...his words not ours!)
All photos on a disc we can download from
DVD of photos to music
Our large album (70-100 pictures)
2 x smaller parent albums (30 - 50 pictures)
Travel from midlands to manchester.

The price sound alot but its an investment for life and I feel we get alot for our money!!!

Thanks for everyones advice tho! We did have a look at the shoot in youself but it just seemed like too much hassle to me.

i have just booked my photographer. I'm paying £1420 and i get pre wedding shoot with all pics on cd and a 16x20 print with mount for guests to sign as keepsake. on the day photography of no less then 10 hours consisting of bridal and groom prep, ceremony, car and beach shots and photos on into the evening with a photo shoot set up in a different room for guest to come and have pics with or with out props (bit like you would have from photo booth) all come in a pre view book of the best shoots for me to pick out the album shots which will be a graphistudio book with silver metal cover and also 4 10x8 prints of my choose from the wedding pictures.

The guy I am hoping to book with does an all day wedding package for £395:

- Bride getting ready.
- Pre Ceremony Photography with Groom and Guests.
- Full Ceremony Coverage Before and After.
- Additional Photography at another location i.e. Park, beach, etc.
- Full reception coverage from arrival to first dance.
- A wedding album complete with 20 x 8" photographs.

Just need to save up the deposit and book him, hopefully he is still available on the day we would like!

hmmmm am not traditional but i wanna keep seein him til alter only just so i can feel the 'cant wait to see u' feelin lol

We are paying £595 for our photographer from prep in the morning until the first dance. We get all the photos on a two discs, one in high res and the other normal, a free engagement shoot at our wedding venue and 50 photos of our choice in an album. All the photos on the discs are uncopyrighted though so we can print as many as we want.

I'm not shocked by that at all. We're paying £2150 for two photographers, and includes engagement shoot, full day's shoot, leather bound album, (350 photos) and images of the day burnt onto disc.

Ah terri, yours sounds a tad similar to our package.

I cant beleive all the different variences in prices! Its been great seeing what everyone else has :-) xXx
