Mine was 350 as it was a sample dress, going to pay 50 to clean it although to be honest it does not need it. You can get outlets that sell dresses quite cheap to x x

Mine was £895 in a sale! I didnt want to pay that much, visited a very cheap shop and you got what you paid for.
Went shopping with H2B and he helped pick it and was happy to pay that even when I was worried about the cost.

I'm thinking of getting a china dress. I'm in love with 1 that comes in at around £150 including postage. Not spending a fortune to wear it once. Plus I'm thinking of a trash the dress photoshoot so I won't cringe as much whilst I wreck it :) x

Mine was £780 which I was quite impressed by as expected more! Make sure you tell your dress shop what your budget is, if you have no idea they will show you anything! Most shops sell their samples when they get the newer season style in you can get a good deal with these! The best thing to do is shop around :-)

i wouldnt do replicas generally as i hate to say it but i have seen some awful ones, website looked great but material and things are usually lower quality and therefore sometimes they dont fall right. There are alot of BNWT on EBay for brides who bought early then chaged their minds or put on/ lost weight.

my dress was marked at £1200, I knew I couldn't afford that so I spoke to the owner and asked if she could reduce the price for me I got it for £900 and spread the cost over 8 months,It pays to ask that or wait for sales as they have them all the time when new lines come in.
Or look on ebay for second hand most of the dresses have been worn for less than 5hrs so would be as new in some cases.

My dress was £650 - twice what I intended to spend! But I kept cutting it out of mags (not realising it was the same one) & HAD to try it on, it's the only one I did put on and I wouldn't take it off until I handed over my bank card and made sure it was mine! It was half price as it was an ex-sample!

Look for sample sales in your area - I travelled to Manchester and there were hundreds of dresses!

There is a shop in Cardiff called Viva Brides, just opened all dresses under £399, so might have something similar where you are. Look at sales, BHS and debhenhams too.

Depends what you're after, but maybe look at bridesmaid dresses as a cheaper alternative? You obviously won't find the big traditional wedding dresses, but if you're after something simple you'll definitely save a pretty penny!

Monsoon, Coast, Debenhams, BHS etc all have pretty decent bridal ranges as well for a fair price.

No problem Kimi :) My mum found me a veil in a vintage charity shop, never been worn, a lady had owned a wedding shop, then closed it down, so she gave it to the charity shop, who had it boxed up in the loft for 4 years & the day they put it in the window, my mum saw it! It was originally over £200 & mum paid £12.50! Good ol' mums eh lol xx

My dress was supposed to be £1500 but I was lucky that the shop owner had just decided she was not going to stock that designer anymore so I got her samplemdress all dry cleaned form £999.

Lotsa high street store do wedding dresses under £500. Think D'hams, the home store that's British and kther dept stores. Alternatively try sampke sales. P'novias on bond street are having a sample sale in a few days and id know the prices will start at around £350 as I've been to one before there.

I bought my dress at a gorgeous city centre bridal shop in Leeds - and paid just under £500, which included all alterations as well. I bought my tiara from ebay - from someone who had bought it then decided on something else instead (she'd paid £95 but I got it a lot cheaper, I think it was under £20 from what I remember). My jewellery was from Past Times (silver) and earrings and necklace came to around £30. My biggest splurge was my shoes - Moda In Pelle - and were around £40 in the sale lol.

I think I was exceptionally lucky with mine - I got an ex-sample from the Bay of e, not a China one, for £75. The original RRP when it was 'in season' was £700-800 depending on shop. I risked getting it because the seller accepted returns (and only cost £5 p&p, so not much lost if i did end up returning it).

For me, I didn't have a brand/style in mind - I just knew I'd know it when I saw it, so took my time searching.

Mine was £89. After trying on 45 wedding dresses varying from £300-£2000, I still hadn't found 'the one'. I knew I wanted a shorter length, so I opted for a replica 50's style dress in white satin. I've attached a picture - I'm having the halter neck removed, and I bought a larger size so it's needs taking in slightly, but even with the alterations is will be under £150. Then £60 for the underskirt, £20 for a lace shrug and £10 for a ribbon/belt.

    IMG_0010.JPG

After the wedding I'm hoping to dye it and wear it as an evening dress.

In terms of finding a dress that isn't silly money, try looking at sale rails and ex-display stores.
