I will be wearing my wedding ring first, then my engagement ring, due to the fact i cannot wear my engagement ring to work, so its easier just to come straight off without removing my wedding ring etc
I know alot of people who wear them in order of when they recieved them etc, its all down to personal choice hun

Me again lol. I'll be wearing mine underneath. I will be getting an eternity ring made to fit over the top of my w ring when we have our first baby xx

I wear mine on top, but only because I think it looks better this way round. Some ladies wear it this way round as it's the order in which they are given to them. I think it's a matter of personal opinion nowadays x

Supposedly you wear the most important one closest to your heart. I always thought it would be e ring then wedding ring until h2b corrected me in the jewellers... I had to check with the jeweller that he was telling the truth haha x
Oh i see! I never really thought why it would be worn on top Thanks for that!
Also, on the wedding day, do you put your E.ring back on after ceremony or are you supposed to just wear your wedding ring for the day?

Some say underneath so it's closest to the heart & some like them in the order they are given them!
I agree with little kettle it's personal choice & I voted underneath because if I was wearing my e.ring (which I am not) that is what I would do :-)

There is no formal tradition as it pertains to engagement rings on your wedding day. I have officiated hundreds of weddings, and most brides wear their engagement rings and then have their wedding band slipped on during the ceremony. If, for some reason, the bride does not want to wear her engagement ring due to swelling, glove wearing or simplicity.. she can wear it on her right hand or keep it home. There is an old tale that says that wearing the wedding band first is best because it's "closest to your heart". But you really should wear them the way they look best and feel most comfortable. The symbolism is not changed by the order in which you were them.. the fact that you have an engagement ring and wedding band on your left ring finger is indicative to anyone that you are in a committed, married relationship.
Do what's in your heart and what makes sense for you..and enjoy your wedding!! Traditionally, wedding ring was to never be removed showing as an eternal symbol of your love and commitment. Because of this, most women slide their wedding band on first at the wedding and later place the engagement ring on top of that. Today most say the wedding band is worn closest to the heart. Many bridal sets and matched rings are soldered together, however, making this a moot point and entirely up to personal preference. From what I was told Ur supposed to wear your wedding band closest to Ur heart and then Ur engagement ring but u don't have to wear the engagement ring after marriage unless u prefer to.
I thought the wedding ring went on first as after your h2b puts it on your finger it's not supposed to come off? So you couldn't take it off to put your e-ring underneath IYSWIM? Obviously that's unlikely to be the case, mine will be coming off on a regular basis! But that's our thinking behind it anyway, and I think because my wedding ring is very plain and my e-ring is asymmetric, it would look a bit odd to have e-ring first, especially if I got an eternity ring at some point in the future!

I am wearing my wedding ring first then E.ring Can i put E ring on straight after ceremony? All the wedding photos i remember seeing of close up hands, only tend to have wedding ring on for the day but i want both my rings on after we are married

i think its personally choice on if to wear your engagement ring on your wedding day i think I'm going to put mine on my other hand for the day.
I'm wearing my wedding ring on the bottom as i take my engagement ring on and off all day, as its already broke once (2 days after i go it) i now don't wear it to do any house work or to bed its in the box more then its on my finger at the minute
