    Hey guys,

Just wondered! We have a groom (lol), best man and my dad and gramps are walking me down the aisle however we don't have ushers and H2B doesn't really want any! Thing is who hands out my order of service??? Could our bestman do it? But then this leaves my H2B a quivvering wreck at the front of the church!! What have you lot done?? Also we don't want people to sit traditionally on each side as he has a lot more family than I do and it will look silly so I just want people to sit wherever!!Basically we are the most informal couple you could meet but we love the church and I'm religious which is why we didn't go for a more informal setting! HELP!! xxx

could you place them on the seats? that way you can make it so both sides are evenly filled too

I've seen it where the order of services are placed on the chairs at the service, so no-one has to do it as people come in. but that does depend how much time you have the ceremony venue for beforehand.

You know I have just been thinking the same thing tonight as we don't have them. I might just ask a friend to stand in as an informal role to stand and hand them out to people as they walk in. I'm sure they won't mind and they don't have to have a matching suit to the wedding party or even be a man.

Maybe you could leave them in a basket near the entrance, with a note saying please help yourself or something similar. We have an usher who has his list of jobs and within that list is to hand out the oos way in and confetti cones on the way out... We only have 35 people attending, but my best friend is my MOH and her daughter is my bridesmaid, her husband is my best friend too, so we've created him a role so he dosent feel left out

Hmmm! Yeah, never thought of that! I could just ask a friend....but then which friend! Lol! Argh! Its a sodding nightmare! I could just put order of services in the seats and reserve the first two pews each side at the front for family! My wedding isn't until 3pm! I'd probably have to do it myself, same as I have to decorate my own hall in the morning along with all the other million trillion things to do! Altho to be fair it will probably take my mind off it!! Haha! Or I might just speak to H2B and see if we can choose a friend to do it! Thanks guys muchly appreciated!! xxx

If you want to put them on pews, give your fiance the job in the morning. Sounds like you'll be busy enough!

Don't even think about doing it yourself. You will be too stressed and needing to get ready and relax on the day. I'm sure any friend would be honoured to do the job for you and it saves you having to worry on the day.

We also are telling every one to fill both sides so its even.

The only problem I can see with the basket option is people not seeing it or not realising what it is and then realising half way through they haven't got one.

Giving them jobs on the day keeps them out of the pub.

How about giving them jobs LIMITS the time they have in the pub to one drink?
