    Hi all

This is the first time I have posted and was wondering if anyone else is having the same issues as I am?

My destination wedding (EU) was booked for the end of May, so this late in the day, everything was planned when Coronavirus hit. My venue (like all venues is closed) cannot/will not?! offer me another date until October, my venue is an outdoor wedding and does not have indoor facilities, so October is not an option. We bit the bullet and decided to postpone until the same time next year, the venue have now advised us they have increased the prices of weddings next year by 25% and will not return our deposit even though none of our paperwork advises that the deposit is non refundable.

Is this happening all over for weddings or am I just unlucky?

    Hiya,

I would try speaking to them again about this and if that doesn't work, then calling a lawyer.

As a wedding planner, this is what I would advise my clients.

Hope this helps and good luck!
